The Most UNIQUE Tour Pro Setup EVER?!
In this video, Rick takes a dive into the mind of Henrik Stenson, the 2016 Open Champion. Henrik talks Rick through why he uses certain clubs, what he looks for when choosing his equipment, and the thinking behind his unique setup.
This is one of the most interesting bags we’ve seen from a professional golfer, and there are some seriously unique choices in there — including a few clubs you probably haven’t seen for a very long time! So sit back, enjoy the conversation, and let us know in the comments which club in Henrik’s bag is your favourite?

Welcome to H.I.T Golf Reviews – the home of honest, independent and trustworthy golf equipment reviews.
If you want straight-talking advice on drivers, irons, wedges, putters, golf balls and golf tech, you’re in the right place. Every review is based on proper testing, launch monitor data and real on-course experience – not marketing slides.
We test all the big names (TaylorMade, Callaway, Ping, Titleist, Mizuno, Cobra and more) plus the direct-to-consumer brands you’re starting to hear about. New vs old, budget vs premium, “forgiving” vs “players” – we put them head-to-head so you can see what actually performs.
Our testing is built around launch monitor data (GCQuad) and real-world shots, but we always explain the numbers in normal-golfer language. No fluff, no hidden agendas – just whether a club will help your game or not.
Whether you’re:
buying your first proper set,
a mid-handicapper looking for more forgiveness, or
a low-handicap player chasing that perfect combo of feel and distance,
H.I.T is here to help you pick the right gear for your swing, not just the newest thing on the shelf.
Why H.I.T exists:
To cut through the hype.
To give golfers the truth.
To save you time, money and a few golf balls.
To make the game a bit easier – and more fun.

I would love to see how new gear and a fitting would change menu game. Currently 12.9 handicap after first really full summer of playing (played growing up but never consistently).
My irons are 1996 taylormade oversized burners and a couple of newer hybrids and an m2 driver (2019 I think as it’s second hand).
Hi Rick I gave a like
Great interview Rick, Henrik comes across really well….seems a golf nut just like all of us.
I just took out the callaway octane 3wood out my bag. Put in a cobra f7 king
Really nice fella ❤
Rick had 'ol Bluey back in the day and Henrik had the OG bluey!
Love this dude
It's going to be nice seeing Henrik back on the PGA tour. He served his year suspension this year.
He is the longest 3 wood player of all time
The Swedish Slammer. Seeing him hit a 3 wood is just poetry to see how accurate he is and hitting it so long, especially with that old Octane. Callaway used to make absolute bombers for fairway metals (The Diablo series to this day can be played by anyone, that's how hot those faces were). Great stuff Rick.
What a great player and person he is. Love his swing ❤ I think I even copied his forward press with his hands before pretty much every shot. However I’m still crap and he’s a legend 😂
Remember when this guy gave up a Ryder Cup captaincy to play for the fire crusher iron shield unicorn kings?
Not only is Henrik a great golfer, he is a genuinely nice person with it. 🤟
I saw him in Munich, years ago. At the range, there were always a lot of people watching him hitting iron shots. His accuracy was stellar. Way better than other pros at the range. And the sound he produced spoke his own language.
I always thought it was the tour in the 3wood, but it’s the 64g regular x shaft in his 2wood. So I would say he was the first to popularize the mini driver
Practice rought unfortunately will not last long and will look horrid fast, and will obviously take long to grow back. It's an impossibility really.
It just ended? No see ya next time? Ben don't you do the editing?
I want more of this conversation. MORE! Give us everything NOW.😂😂 😎
here for stenson. favourite player for years
Would be great if Hendrik had the old Diablo Headcover on. So retro!!
Still play my dad’s old Cobra LS Speed 3 wood. Still outperforms my other 2014-2017 3 woods.
Just so so reliable.
God i do love my White Hot 5.
Henrik was one of my favorite players 10 years ago. Dude was a machine
Hej Henrik min hjälte! Skönt att se dig fortfarande smiska iväg bollarna så fint som bara du kan. Sveriges främsta golfare genom alla tider.
"The cash was great"…Still he sold his soul to LIV, where he played like crap…
The Grafalloy Blue shaft! I have one of those on my Titleist 983K. Is Grafalloy still around?
When I last spoke to Henrik (Jeddah, 2023) I asked if he’d consider having a book written on his Open victory… he replied he actually would..
