Can I Break the Record at a Public Golf Course? (One Chance)

Can I Break the Record at a Public Golf Course? (One Chance)

Sometimes with public courses, you never know exactly what you’re going to get. A lot of people give them a bad rap, but today, we’re playing one of the special ones. I’m at the historic Tenison Park Golf Course in Dallas, Texas, where golf legend Lee Trevino spent years hustling and perfecting his game. The course is in great condition and today I’m attempting to break the course record in only one try. This is going to be a solid test of golf, and hopefully it gets me one step closer to my goal of breaking three course records by the end of the year…

  1. Love your channel…If you ever were to do a challenge in the San Antonio area and wanted to try a break 50 with a random fan I am up for the challenge

  2. Is the interlock grip that important or shall I continue with my baseball grip? Is it worthit after two years changing everything?

  3. Bryson I've got a good next course for you in Hampton, New-Brunswick, Canada its really nice quality and there's even a par 6

  4. My question is contact I struggle with consistent ball striking. Play once a week. However I hear a lot of haters are on PGA tour and wish you can figure out what ever it is in time for the next major!

  5. Dude I have never been super into golf. I enjoyed playing when I was a kid and my dad had put me in some lessons but I had more fun driving the golf carts and being a “caddy” for my dads drunken coworkers as they attempt to hit the ball from the cart while moving as they were to hung over or drunk to stand. Always found it very boring watching a bunch of over dressed robots hit a ball around with no emotion. Now in my 40’s I have been getting invited out to golf and have been turning down the offers as I can’t drive the ball worth a shit. But decided to start watching some YouTube videos to kind of give me a better starting point. Came across your break 50 with that giant German tank and I just loved your videos dude. It actually made me want to really start playing again and even watching your rounds. You make golf fun. Thank you. Will always have a big fan with me no matter what you end up doing in the future. Be it YouTube and masters or if you choose to go back on the tour. I just enjoy watching you play and seeing your passion for this game.

  6. Im trying to go from 2hncp to scratch, i have the ability i know, but bot always the time ( 3 young kids ) Would it be a good idea for me to start teeing off with aim to leave specific yardage ? Or continue hitting driver and get as close as i can ? Thoughts ?

  7. I'm curious what Bryson thinks about the old unwritten rule that tour professionals wouldn't publicize they broke local course records out of respect for the local pros and members who compete for those records and make the course their home. It probably sounds silly today, but I used to think that was a cool kind of respect to show a club.

  8. Got any tips for not topping and a driver, and just applying more force into the ball? I'm wondering because I'm a pretty big guy, and I just can't see to hit it as well or as far as other people my size. It may also be ball contact and other sorts, but I need your help. Thanks, Bryson! @Bryson DeChambeau

  9. Bryson what is a tip you could give me on the mental side of things? I feel like when I’m out there I get in my head way too much after just one bad shot. And leads to multiple bad holes. Also for a public course you should come out to lions den in dardenelle Arkansas I play here and it’s john daily’s course

  10. Sometimes I think “man he’s not on top of his game right now” and then I remember I went 16 over through 9 today so yeah he’s pretty good at golf 😂
