The Birdie That Won Speith The 2015 US Open

2015 US Open, Chambers Bay. Jordan Spieth had just double-bogeyed the 17th to throw away his lead. On the par-5 18th, instead of folding, he drilled a 3-wood off the back slope to 15 feet and two-putted for birdie.

He became the first player since Bobby Jones in 1926 to birdie the final hole to win the US Open. At 21, he was the youngest champion since Jones in 1923. It was the second leg of his Masters–US Open double. Minutes later, Dustin Johnson three-putted and Spieth had won.
