Bethpage black by far the fairest and hardest golf course in USA. Grass, deep bunkers, elevation, green shapes, and sloped lies on fairways. Oakmont is tuff do to the greens having edges of the greens not usable. Architech wize, I say bethpage black is the real deal! Veryfair!
Take Amen corner out and Augusta is not nearly as challenging. That corner has ruined so many great rounds of golf. It's literally unpredictable. The wind does whatever it wants.

Municipal courses.Know why? Let me put it this way: If you stood just off the 18th green and asked every player what they shot the average score will be way higher than pro's scores on the courses Phil mentioned. Sounds crazy but just sayin…..
