JT explains why this 1-under felt much better than Thursday’s, after starting 2-over through three holes and battling back with patience and discipline. He talks about how difficult it is to attack pins at Aronimink, why a wedge in hand does not automatically mean a birdie chance, and why the 11th green is a perfect example of how brutal the course can be.
Thomas also addresses being put on the clock, saying his group did not agree with the decision, and explains why he refused to rush into a shot that did not feel right. He also describes how windy conditions make him more visual and creative, almost like painting a picture in his head.
