"Willing the ball into the hole."
Jack sharing some great truth here.
“I eliminated left when i was putting” that is simply brilliant
FJN
Jack’s mental game was his secret weapon.
18 Major wins with 19, 2nd place finishes. IMAGINE how many that 18 # could of been. THE GOAT PERIOD.
Jack was the best at matching the speed of his putt to the break of the putt. No one was better. Loren Rorbets was the best roller of the ball, but he didn't match the speed of the putt to the line as well as Jack did. Tiger was a great putter too, but I give Jact the nod for the GOAT putter.
Jack is a tremendous natural athlete. He also is a tremendous natural competitor and mentally as tough as they come. His lifetime record attests to these attributes.
It’s wild to hear something new from Jack at this late date, but this is amazing! “Eliminating left” while putting?!? Never heard of such a thing.
100% of short putts never go in. ✌🏽⛳️
I heard him say one time that he "never missed a putt in his mind." He always visualized the stroke and roll of the ball going into the hole prior to the actual putt. He called it "going to the movies."
Making the putt ⛳️ awesome 👏
Wow. Never knew about eliminating one side of the cup to have a bigger target. Genius
Dumb
Jack should share his good buddy Donald J. Trump's putting secrets. Why putt them in when you can rake them in.
What people don't realize is Jack at that time played McGregor balls. After 2-3 shots the ball was out of round. So what was his power? He willed the ball in the hole but his stroke was the same every single time. His stance never changed. He trusted his complete set up.
Wow.
Never heard anyone say they ‘eliminated left’ while putting.
Wow! This is how I putt
The man The Legend “The best ever”
Be the ball, Danny! na-na-na-na-na-na-na
Wildly determined…. Strong willed…. Great competitor…… great human being….. greatest golfer next to Bobby Jones of ALL TIME… Fundamentals never questioned only continuously honed over time…. Work ethic like no other…. FOCUS AND DETERMINATION…. That’s JACK NICKLAUS…!! ❤ and soul…
Great stuff. Now you just need Jack’s talent and you’re all set
Thank you for sharing Mr. Nicklaus!
am 64 and learned from him- I was a good player and pushed every putt like he said-
Jack's victory at the 1986 Masters was one of the all time greatest victories in golf history. It's my favorite.
There's guys that had prettier putting Strokes than Jack. Jack had an X Factor that you just can't teach. just use a standard putting grip and match the speed to the line and then start begging like the rest of us hacks. 😅
JACK IS "THE" GOAT!!!
A little insight into the greatest golf mind in history. Pure genius
Jack and Tiger always seemed slightly ticked off when putting. I think that was a mark of extreme ability to focus.
Jack is the GOAT of all time. 🎉👌🌟🌟🌟⛳
Phenomenal!🌟
Genius!!
So he aimed left even if it was a right to left putt !
I suppose he was aiming to go left hand side of the hole
He hit it so far and so high and he could putt better than anyone. Wasn’t fair
I think Tiger and Jack were exactly the same because when a putt needed to be made, they made it. It would have been great to see them compete against each other.
The putters he used versus today . Certainly wasn't an advantage over today's putters
The Greatest
no wonder phil and tiger skipped the masters this year
Tiger is the best pressure putter of all time let’s get that straight
