The PGA TOUR heads to the iconic Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass for the 2022 edition of THE PLAYERS Championship. The top 30 golfers in the FedExCup standings, including 2017 FedExCup winner and defending champion Justin Thomas, will tee it up this week. World No.1 Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland and Collin Morikawa are just some of the biggest names in golf battling it out for the $3.6 million winner’s share. Hovland remains one of the hottest players in the game, leading at the halfway point of the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard. Hideki Matsuyama is also in impressive form after winning the Sony Open this year. In 2020, Matsuyama tied the TPC Sawgrass scoring record (a 9-under 63) in the opening round and following the cancellation of that tournament, he’ll be aiming to go all the way for the first time this year. The reigning FedExCup Champion, Patrick Cantlay, is looking to continue his excellent start to the season – he’s finished outside the top 10 in just one of his five starts so far.

one of the best rounds i’ve ever seen in those conditions
PGA tour respond?
Let’s go JT!!!
Go JT
We need an every shot from the round video. Incredible shot shapes from JT
The individual player highlights are pretty good but the compilation highlights are horrendously bad boring putting only
Came for the carnage, stayed to marvel at JTs grinding and shot shaping. I saw that the winds gusted to 43 miles an hour today. To actually play your way into contention in that while the leaders are chilling in the clubhouse is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen.
These guys are so good they won't mind playing in the hurricane, make that happen PGA.
Legit would have been so simple to put his shots on 17 and 18 with the tracer so people could appreciate how good they were. Watching broadcast with it was another level
bogey-free on this day man. nuts
On 18 he hits 5 wood 193 yards, then on 5 he hits pitching wedge 188 yards. That amount of wind is unplayable even in a video game
By far, he played in bad weather for both rounds. Groups that played early Thursday and second round early Sunday have 5 or 6 strokes easier conditions.
Great round. In control of himself and his ball. Kudos to Bubba, 4 under
hoodies on tour is a bad look
Funny how the announcers cant stop talking about the artistry of JT's round then just mention Bubba in passing.I believe Bubba's played better.
Nice
All I've heard about Sunday and Monday why is he incredible miraculous one-of-a-kind round of golf by Justin Thomas and I've only heard them mention Bubba Watson's one-stroke better 68 I'm getting tired
