Rory McIlroy will take centre stage at this year’s Dubai Desert Classic as the DP World Tour continues its desert swing in the Middle East. The World No.1 will be teeing it up at the second Rolex Series event of the season, alongside compatriot and 2022 BMW Championship winner Shane Lowry, and former Ryder Cup teammate Francesco Molinari. Winner of last week’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship Victor Perez will once again be in action, hoping to continue his excellent form. Two-time winner of the event Stephen Gallacher will be making a remarkable 23rd appearance and the Dubai Desert classic and remains the only player in its 33-year history to have achieved back-to-back wins in Dubai.

Great WIN by Rory. Epic yeah! One of the most exciting last holes I can remember. Clear why; "LIV" would have won in a way and I'm shure, Rory fighted hard not let this happen. He said between the lines within the interview. Further; Cannot believe that PReed had a cap and shirt LIV branded. What did he sign up. In my view; These LIV guys are sold and isolated… TNX Rory, you made our day!

In a way Rory should thank LIV golf, Greg Norman, Patrick Reed etc for jump starting his career. After getting a 200 mil contract from Nike Rory sleep walked thru many years of his prime. It was frustrating for me as a fan to only see flashes of his great talent and nothing more. But LIV golf got his Irish temper up and he is responding brilliantly. Fun to watch a major talent play hard again.
I’m routing for Rory to get a major this year, hopefully the Masters jacket!

Given that the camera CLEARLY showed you know who’s ball entering a different tree than the one he claimed – what is the outcome ? The guy is a blatant ( caught before on camera ) cheat ! I’m relieved he lost because I’m certain my faith in the game I love so much would have been rocked .
