  10. This was the epitome of golf in my opinion. Tiger is obviously the best, but Ernie could have been the best if it wasn’t during Tiger’s reign of terror.

  11. If not for Tiger, Els would have been 6th in Majors ……instead of 23rd……he came second to Tiger 4 times in Majors.

    So instead of 4 he would have had 8.

    Either level is incredible!!

    Tiger seemed to love playing with Ernie because he knew how phenominal Els was and to beat him said how great you were!!

  26. Ernie had that butter cut and I know they say never say never but there will NEVER be another Tiger Woods

  27. 2000 Ernie one of the greatest seasons ever played and yet very little to show for it other than a bunch of second places. Wasn’t intimidated by Tiger I don’t think, and there was mutual respect he was just up against the GOAT
