Bryson DeChambeau produced one of the rounds of the week with a stunning 7-under-par 64 on Sunday at The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush Golf Club.

After opening the week with a 78, Bryson responded in style, firing a bogey-free final round packed with precision iron play, clutch putting and trademark power off the tee. It was a dramatic turnaround and one of the standout performances of the Championship.

This is the PGA – all about the apex #. In all the years I played golf I didn't, couldn't and don't give a damn about the apex #. Who gives a crap. What would be nice to know? How many yards away from the pin? How many feet from the hole on the green. But no, PGA thinks the apex # is most important.

"Hey, what was Bryson's average or even mean apex # for the round?" Wow, what worthless information.

  2. What’s that little
Voice in the background saying “no penis forever” over and over again? It’s almost like they used a looped recording of crowd noise because with headphones I hear the same audio repeating @ 9:25 and 9:34, 9:43 and other times as well

  3. anyone who yells "get in the hole" or "mashed potato" or any other stupid American nonsense should be immediately ejected from the course and preferably also deported and banned from every British golf course for life.

  4. Everyone knows how far Bryson DeChambeau can hit. I think though where he has a big advantage is when he’s hitting out of the rough. He’s so strong he can still hit far enough and accurately enough to hit the green in regulation. He seems to be a streaky putter but when he’s on then everyone is in trouble.

  5. PGA gives us an apex number that nobody cares about, but won’t give you a leaderboard for context of the moves being made.
