The PGA TOUR returns to the United States’ mainland for one of its longest-standing events as The American Express gets underway in the Coachella Valley, welcoming what may be the strongest field in the tournament’s history. World No. 1 and reigning Player of the Year Scottie Scheffler headlines the action, making his long-awaited season debut, and immediately raises the stakes as the TOUR settles into its early rhythm. He’s joined by a star-studded cast that includes his best friend Sam Burns, Patrick Cantlay, Ludvig Åberg and Ben Griffin, alongside a deep mix of major champions, elite world-ranked players and emerging contenders eager to take advantage of the famously low-scoring conditions. With three courses in play and Aon Swing 5 points on the line, early FedExCup momentum is up for grabs as players look to position themselves for the season’s first Signature Events. Defending champion Sepp Straka returns aiming to buck history and repeat in the desert, while the Pete Dye Stadium Course once again sets the stage for a shootout that blends pristine desert scenery with one of the TOUR’s most player-friendly tests.

  8. When you have that many golfers so deep after just the 1st round you have to question the courses being used, no wonder they want to roll the ball back.

  11. PGA youtube channel is run by old muppets. Min Woo Lee is an exciting and relatable character in golf and has an amazing round. He gets one highlight. what the actual f….

  13. You would think whoever is running this channel would read comments occasionally. For YEARS 80% or more of the comments we're focusing on how bad these highlight reels are. Only showing putts of birdies and eagles (not how the players got there), Marquee players (even if they are nowhere near the top of the field for the round), or just one highlight of a person who is having an amazing round. If they read the comments they would quickly notice a pattern of complaints which can easily be mitigated to bring a better channel experience. They don't have to do crazy long market research, the people have been speaking for years what is wrong with this channel and highlights coverage.
