Jason Day’s AVODA Curved Face Irons Are INSANE

Jason Day continues to prove why he remains one of the best golfers on the PGA Tour, finishing 2nd place in the latest PGA Tour event, just behind world number one Scottie Scheffler. But beyond the leaderboard, one of the biggest stories in professional golf right now is what Jason Day had in his bag — the all-new AVODA Curved Face Irons.

AVODA’s curved face iron technology is quickly gaining attention across the golf equipment world. Designed to deliver more ball speed, higher launch, optimized spin rates, and tighter dispersion, these irons represent a major leap forward in modern iron design. Compared to traditional flat face irons, the curved face construction is engineered to improve performance across a larger portion of the clubface, giving golfers more forgiveness without sacrificing workability.

For players searching for better distance control, improved accuracy, and more consistent iron shots, curved face technology helps stabilize mishits, reduce side spin, and promote straighter ball flight. This means more greens in regulation, more birdie opportunities, and lower scores.

Jason Day trusting the AVODA Curved Face Irons in tournament competition — and immediately contending for a win — shows how powerful this new golf technology truly is. When a major champion puts new irons into play on the PGA Tour, it sends a clear message that this equipment delivers real performance benefits.

In this video, we take a deep dive into AVODA’s curved face iron design, explain how it works, compare it to traditional iron faces, and discuss why many golf equipment experts believe this innovation is the future of irons.

  1. Have you investigated playing with the same effect in your driver? Maybe find one with a little less buldge to help you with that right miss?

  2. Ugh…more sponsored ads dressed up to look like an honest review….curved face irons have been around for over a decade. They're fine. Nothing new. I'm shocked you agree to sensationalize/put stuff out there that isn't factual, especially as an aspiring pro golfer. Totally great to hear your opinion, but when you frame these as something new and share small amounts of data/emotion to make them seem better than other irons, that's where you lose people.

  3. The gear effect come from hitting out of the middle of the clubface. If you hit the face closer to the toe, the face tent to open. This is causing the balls to rotate counterclockwise back to the middle of the face. If it is curved there, the ball has to „climb up“ the face. That should reduce the gear! Is that correct?

  4. I have Avoda flat face same length clubs. I like them a lot. Do you know whether the CG is in the middle or whether it’s spread in the heel or toe?

Do curved face irons help slow swing players? I think I saw Avoda say that a swing speed of 95 mph or higher is where the real benefits will occur.

I did the online fitting, which was a great experience; however, the recommended shaft was too stiff for me. I recently switched shafts and have seen performance gains.

  5. I quite like this. I have a real tendency to hit towards the toe if I'm nervous of leaking it left (I'm left handed so im reverse to you normal folk) 😂

  6. If you don't have extreme levels of clubhead speed and because of that ball speed, having bulge and roll on an iron face will do little help for you. Bryson and other tour players can get use out of it because they generate so much ball speed that they do need the bulge to help auto-correct some shots.

  7. How do you find them on partial shots? Think it would only be worth it on you 4/5 iron as more speed?

  8. Hasn’t Bryson been using these clubs? To say Jason day used them first at the top is crazy. Bryson used them at majors
