The PGA TOUR returns to the United States’ mainland for one of its longest-standing events as The American Express gets underway in the Coachella Valley, welcoming what may be the strongest field in the tournament’s history. World No. 1 and reigning Player of the Year Scottie Scheffler headlines the action, making his long-awaited season debut, and immediately raises the stakes as the TOUR settles into its early rhythm. He’s joined by a star-studded cast that includes his best friend Sam Burns, Patrick Cantlay, Ludvig Åberg and Ben Griffin, alongside a deep mix of major champions, elite world-ranked players and emerging contenders eager to take advantage of the famously low-scoring conditions. With three courses in play and Aon Swing 5 points on the line, early FedExCup momentum is up for grabs as players look to position themselves for the season’s first Signature Events. Defending champion Sepp Straka returns aiming to buck history and repeat in the desert, while the Pete Dye Stadium Course once again sets the stage for a shootout that blends pristine desert scenery with one of the TOUR’s most player-friendly tests.

  2. Can't you find more difficult courses, handicap their balls and equipment? Golf greed is beyond a joke when the miserable winners do not even smile or acknowledge the crowds any more.

  6. I played in a high school tournament with Zach Bauchou. He shot 66 I shot 86 😆😆😆 kid was always different. Love seeing him make it.

  24. 70% of the top players defected to "that other tour". So it is not surprising that a player like Scotty gets hot and can totally dominate,…not much competition. Like a top College team playing against high schoolers.

  34. I really do enjoy watching Scottie dominate, it's just more fun when there is an alpha predator that everyone has to watch out for.

  40. Scheffler hits it inside the leather more in one round than I do all year long. His precision is simply amazing. He's entering Tiger territory.
