ローリー・カンター、PGAツアーで無視された後、LIVゴルフに復帰
A new LIIV Golf star has spoken out after replacing the Rival Cup and turning down the PGA Tour. Lorie Caner has officially returned to LIIV Golf’s Mage Sticks GC franchise, stepping into the spot previously held by RDER Cup icon Henrik Stinson, who was relegated after his worst season on the circuit. Caner, 36, originally competed in LIIV golf from 2022 to 2024, but narrowly missed out on a roster spot last season after losing a playoff to Anthony Kim. Following that setback, he returned to the DP World Tour in early 2024, and his career quickly reignited. He claimed his first European tour victory in June 2024 in Germany, then won again in February 2025 by taking the Bahrain Championship in a dramatic playoff against Pablo LaRazible and Dan Brown. His strong run earned him a 2026 PGA Tour card, but he has now made the bold decision to give it up in favor of rejoining LIV Golf. Following the recent moves of Adrien Moranc in 2024 in Tom McKibben earlier this year speaking after the announcement Caner said joining Mage Stickix GC is an incredible opportunity to be part of a team that has helped shape LIIV Golf from day one. The league’s growth has been remarkable and my experience within it has made me a more complete player and a multipletime winner on the DP World Tour. Returning to the league with Mage Sticks GC is a huge honor. Their excellence, ambition, and identity truly resonate with me. I can’t wait to get started and contribute to what this team is building. With Caner stepping in for Stenson, Mage Sticks GC, the all European powerhouse team now enters a new era strengthened by a player who chose LIV golf over a future on the PGA Tour.
