I would say the biggest highlight was Europe smashing the gross American team and their utterly out of pocket support on their home turf, but each to their own!
It was good to see Europe win but I think the whole tournament was ruined somewhat by the crowds behaviour. The standard of golf was simply incredible, from Europe on the first 2 days and the fight back by the US team in singles it should've been one for the history books BUT the chants of F**k you Rory and fans throwing beer at his wife were just abbismal. It was reminiscent of Brookline in 99', which was just awful to see. I think Boston, NY and Chicago (2012) should never be venues for Ryder cups again – Pinehurst No2, NC was great, crowds were very respectful, Whistling Straits, Wisconsin and Hazeltine in Minnesota both good too.
