Can I Break A Public Course Record In One Try?

[Music] how easy is the average everyday public golf course to a pro golfer I’ve never looked up and just seen a flock of birds in my way go are you kidding me all right this is what I’m talking about this is what I’ve been waiting for all day in this video I will be attempting to break the course record at Coyote Ridge Golf Course in one truck Andre thank you for having us sat today I just had one question for you what is the course record out here 63 9 under 63 9 under that’s the goal today we’re doing a 18 hole video seeing if I can break some course records and uh go have some fun good luck to I appreciate all right a 63 you can do that I I I don’t think I can do that I know I can do that but I’ve got to stay humble cuz I’ve never seen the golf course that’s the one difficult aspect about today I don’t know the golf course and I’ve got to be very careful make sure I hit a lot of really solid shots I’m hitting it well too wedges are great I’m hitting it well I feel comfortable so there’s no excuses there I am going to be using a new putter today Chase what do you think about that check this bad boy out it’s a little bit wider back but it’s got carbon fiber on the back and it’s a copper tungsten on the face and this face it’s been approved by the USGA which is fantastic but it’s got a lot more grip going down than it does going up so it gets the ball to have some more Top Spin on it so it I’ve tested it a little bit it’s rolling really well it looks great I’m comfortable with it we’ll see how it performs today okay I’m ready to go oh I’m I’m I’m ready you know chase the most difficult part of today is not knowing where the golf holes are going to be um the golf course seems pretty straightforward and I feel like what is it 9 under 63 you know this is this is exciting this is something new this is different I don’t know what to expect today it is downwind 323 yard hole start off it’s back teas too by the way I don’t know if I have to hit this super hard and they just tell us that SEIU Kim was actually the person that said it really sewu Kim seven years ago 63 okay I got this let’s do it just a little left that’s so close all right just maybe fraction right of the green we should be good I don’t know where that is but uh if I can get started hot with a nice eagle or I mean just a birdie is fine too I have to make Birdie on this hole well this is the start of a new challenge breaking course record series I don’t know exactly what we’re going to call it but should be something close to that see that’s not bad I don’t think that’ll be too far off there’s a tree there over on the right but yeah left was probably a little bit better a little bit easier but we’ll see where this is gosh I haven’t played golf course like this in a while so that was a little bit of a push there didn’t want to overdraw it but I’ve got an easy nice little shot probably a 20 yard shot 22 yards it’s a good lie down wind downhill oh my gosh that’s so soft okay well I had no idea how soft that was going to be I going hit that perfect all right well four five six 18 ft that’s not good thank goodness G many Christmas that’s a terrible par but it’s fine got 18 holes I was actually nervous on that putt but I need to shoot 10 under for next 17 holes I got to get hot now if I made bogy on the last hole I swear I was just going to quit looks like a pretty straightaway par five dog leg left cool looking hole actually pump it right down the middle winds a little off the right and in all right good start to the first part five of the of the golf course all right well it’s 213 into the wind uphill I’m thinking it’s going to be closer to a six iron but might be too far no 6 turn right I’m not swinging it very fast right now yeah I love this it’s going to be into the wind just a little bit smoke it oh looks good that’s good good shot good start a little in the wind hit it to about 20 feet I got to roll this in for Eagle that would be huge Chase I’ve got to make this this is dead straight it might go a little left to right here I actually feel like it’s going to go a little left or right it’s not called second guessing it’s just called pivotal adjustments pivotal cuz it’s Monumental 20-footer up a 3% slow goes right ah dang it actually went right really hard I almost three puted but guess what I didn’t three put that’s a birdie one under par through two kind of on Pace kind of pace that be Pace yeah okay well 240 when it says there it’s down off the right just a little bit yep so I’m going to hit a nice little smooth six iron in thereo deep ball about 15 yards downwind 12 12 yeah it’s going to be just under a full six iron off the right nice little drawing [Music] there no stop set holy crap that went forever I got to chip that in Chase okay well not great 20 30 yard shot here that’s not a great start dude I mean I had a that was actually a solid swing too very disappointed that it just bounced and went that far over that’s crazy dude these greens are so soft probably about 8T 9 ft short there going to have a tester for par need to make this stay one under three 10 ft all right well that’s a big save that was a really good par there Chase I’ll say that’s awesome getting up and down from a tricky situation with you know not so fortunate of a break H it just I want say a great six iron it just drew too much and put me in a really tricky situation that was really unfortunate guys this looks like a par five 370 to the water I got to make here this is just imperative uh I just measured Adam he is 347 yards so I’m going to be hting a little bit left here and give myself a good opportunity CU those trees are 360 on the right so this driver is just going to be a little left I’m Pump It get right all right that should be good 135 156 156 all right what’s the wind doing and it’s just a little bit off the right yeah it’s down and off the right all right play a little pitching wedge here it’s a big moment this is what defines careers right here Chase I’m not talking about my golf game I’m talking about your video cameraing skills 56 off the right a little down just under 10:30 I’m actually have to O this is a tough shot here folks all right I’m going to play a little draw here I’m going to move it with the wind oh my gosh that’s short holy crap that got killed by the win that was a great shot too did you see the curvature going in there chase you know what I’ve got a chance for Eagle I can make that putt Chase that shot was particularly difficult because I didn’t really know which way the wind was coming if it was more in or more off the right and down cuz if it’s more off the right and down look at it if I landed over the green that’s in the bushes and stuff so 10 30f footer this one’s for you Adam I called it I missed it right told you see gosh that was a good roll too this putter roll is nice I like this it’s pretty good Chase I called it called it I was making birdie that’s two under through four look at this John daily te grip it and rip it if you guys haven’t seen that video you should go check it out it’s a pretty Banger so uh it’s 420 yard hole 420 yard hole 420 yard 420 yard hole oh what was that bounce should be fine 85 yards Chase shouldn’t be too difficult of a shot um I think took a really hard bounce ride didn’t it no it’s in a good place actually got a great Li 85 yards it seems like it’s almost downwind now for some reason 85 yards n this is at 10:00 okay 10:00 56 guys Yep this will be perfect 85 little in just under 10:00 land it right next to it give myself a good chance for birdie go is that super short I don’t know that was a good shot though might be a little short but we’ve got a chance for birdie have to make this to keep that pace make a long one here what do you say partner 24 ft on the right hand side of it actually goes to the flat and level part of the bowl it’s like a it’s going up it’s a saddle and the Hol is in the bottom of it I’m on the right hand side of it so it’s breaking left and straightening out at the end I really like this oh that was a good roll too not great great success that’s a bummer I needed birdie there that’s 200 through five looking a little slow right now started this challenge wedge game struggled we got plenty of holes coming up so they said there’s a bunch of driveable holes so I’m I’m looking forward to the challenge either way this is prepping me for next week green Brer all right this is this is the one if you don’t bur this one I quit let’s see how far this is that’s 388 377 now if I pump it I pump it I can get it right up next to the green time to put my uh hicking boots on cuz we about to go for an adventure this one pumped us out there 34350 give myself a good look at Eagle just chiping in for Eagle ah it’s right of it dang it should be fine over there but it shouldn’t draw it enough back into the wind actually have a good chance to like hit it directly back into the wind there so trying to look at the positives I didn’t hit that bad of a drive just didn’t start it far enough left 46 over 57 see the LIE oh yeah I got it 50 yard shot [Applause] [Applause] too far ah it’s not an easy shot just came out a little hot it’s fine got to make a putt now it’s now or never all right well I got the line I haven’t had the line right all day so hopefully this Line’s correct oh line was right that’s a bummer that’s a stupid par Chase it’s not looking good plenty of Eagle opportunities I just got to start hitting some my iron shots good and making a couple putts I haven’t made a putt yet with this uh but doesn’t mean it’s not rolling good it’s just not going in gosh it seems like it’s helping but I just don’t know if it is I don’t know 47 well that’s from there 52 down playing 152 I got to play this just a little in this is one of the toughest shots of the challenge so far 152 just just over 10:00 just over 10 o00 here I think it’s just a left to right wind play 152 shot [Applause] it’s good distance just didn’t hit it at my target guys was not on my target got like a 30-footer for birdie all right 27 ft I mean dude this has got to be all the way out here yeah 27 ft down and breaking pretty hard go are you kidding me Chase that was right in the heart you know what you needed one of those and you just couldn’t do it I dude that’s frustrating I really thought I made that putt put a good stroke on it rolled end over end right on my line and for it to end up short like that this is number eight this is downwind Chase I truly believe I can get there today what’s the distance 385 so I’m going to pump this one and see what I can get oh yeah get left where is that over the bunkers no it’s not over the the first bunker not the second bunker back I don’t know we’ll see that was a good ball though keeping it outside of so like for example guys there’s water all down the left hand side if I over draw this it’s in the water so I’m still trying to keep it on the right hand side especially with the wind coming off the left a little bit it’s a bit of strategy for me to make sure I miss it in the right place I didn’t miss it right in the right place on six but here I did get in oh thought that was in I know me too some things just aren’t meant to be in life all right this is what I’m talking about this is what I’ve been waiting for all day nice drive nice chip birdie yeah I think trust me I’ve been waiting for it all day too all right there left edge here you’re here 5 ft 2 and a 12% easy here we go 3 under through eight not too bad I’ll take that with the new putter by the way very impressed with it so far far happy about it check this out says BD kind of cool it’s got some new face Tech which is sweet carbon fiber on the back copper tungsten in the front aluminum keep the weight down make the center mask go more towards the toe I’m putting in play Green right here pretty sweet well this an interesting hole normally I’d be playing like a nice little iron down the right hand side but I need a nice little wedge in normally I wouldn’t go for this but I’m going go the right edge of the green a nice draw wind push it to the right and we should be Gucci this should be perfect so I hit a little right it’s in the cart uh what’s in the car park I hit the car path when right going to try and find a shot on the I don’t think it’s out of bounds either which is funny I’m just glad didn’t hit anybody look at this thing thing oh I got this come on give me a shot yes this is sick look at this look behind there’s a flag 81 yards it’s going to bounce pretty hard well not as good as I thought it was going to be but that’s still fine that’s back in play I’ll take it I should just hit the iron off the tea Chase yeah I can’t believe you didn’t listen to him listen to you yeah I said we should hit an iron here did you really no I still got a 20-footer for birdie get me to four under which is still behind the behind the a ball but whatever still the back n i can light it up I’m focused on that right now I got to focus on this pot make it but I really know that back n’s going to be getable oh my [Applause] God that’s so stupid I should have laid back Chase yeah I could have made double early easily I’m lucky there was no out of bounds over there to the right we still have a chance on the back nine guys I mean I’m from what I can see this is this looks like it’s a good little shot shape I’m going to end it right on the left Center of this tree right in front of me watch how high this thing goes how quickly it goes oh that was beat I mean that’s as good as I can do right there I’ll have to see where that is wow that was actually perfect it’s a perfect I’m surprised it’s 414 yards I got one 91 191 it’s going be like a pitching wedge um downwind 12 15 yards uh 75 yeah it’s a pitching wedge okay 191 downwind 15 to 20 it’s going to play like 170 I’m going to go just under full nice little draw here come on [Music] Bron no not di that’s so good okay gosh there’s so much wind up off the right pumps over there I’m having one of those feelings are you really yeah you’re going to miss it oh yeah 45 ft going to play 45 ft little downhill break break dang it oh crap well ah it’s another good birdie oh if I would have caught that look legendary too bad too bad it’s not 400 through 10 I got to make some Eagles or birdie in if I just if I just birdie in we’re okay now it’s 232 into the wind the defense of this golf course is really the par 3s 233 winds off the left it’s actually more it’s just more off the left so I think a six iron is going to be totally fine yeah I’m going to pump a six iron okay come on Chase I need one good shot here I almost killed the bird be right that was such a good shot too that was wild I hit a ball I’ve never looked up and just seen a flock of birds in my way in the bunker here should be a good lie yeah dude if I just landed over here it’s bounces and rolls up a little bit and I got a 15-footer it’s literally the perfect Club just didn’t give myself enough room yeah it lands right here 5 yards left yeah shoot nicely designed Golf Course though go in this thing rolls really nice I really like this butter that’s another par what what am I at four through 11 so I need six more birdies that’s possible drivable hole what does it say on the cart to the hole it’s downwind and off the right so I’m going to hit a blazing driver here give myself a good chance for eal I’m going to smoke this one that was smoked I mean that should be really good guys I don’t want to bring my putter but I’m going to just in case it was a good drive just uh a little short not long enough Chase nope not good enough not long enough not good enough 5 6 7 8 9 10 make sure to always walk off your your shots 12 13 14 15 16 30 31 32 33 it’s tough trying to land it right next the hole when on tour you’ve just been prepared to have balls like roll up so I always use a 60 but even here I’m thinking about using a 56 and just kind of trundling it up 33 land it I got to throw it pretty far up there it’s a 35 yard shot got to kind of smoke this get it all the way back there how’s that oh see normally I’m landing at like five or 10 yards short of that and that’s what I would normally do to get the ball to run out into the hole but you got to fly it all the way to the hole which is crazy that have been a great Eagle to get it back but I wasn’t expecting it to go I mean I tried I gave it my best but you’re never expecting it to go in but when it goes in that’s when you jump for joy but I wasn’t able to there you know what look made birdie fine it’s a great Birdie on this hole I need to keep this train rolling because that is not acceptable if I don’t break the course record today this a good test for my driver today into the wind brutal t- shot a little bit off the right feeling a nice little draw here give myself a nice little wet shot to make birdie again come on I got to do it that’s the second time I’ve done that today it’s pretty good that’s a good drive go little buddy I’m really glad I didn’t know that that was what was over there I thought it was maybe a little more open on that right inside no it wasn’t but that’s a stripe driving one that I’ll take every day of the week 54 into the wind playing 60 it’s going to be 10 o00 oh yeah 60 it’s 9:30 it’s a 9:30 shot right here guys oh I feel good how far is that that’s too far guys dang that was a good swing I got to dial in my wedges Chase they’re not there yet this is actually an easy butt jeez don’t jinx it like that you’re like an announcer bro one two three 4 just about 12T down the slope just going a little left to right wow I left that short that’s really unfortunate dude oh what are we five under I got to do something crazy special now you got to hit it close to to break course records out here and that’s not that’s not going to get the job done Chase 2011 well playing 10 down 191 91 off the left yeah and what’s down it’s downhill downwind 91 downwind 80 n here 2011 playing 91 off the left down I’m just going to go right at this I don’t think the wind’s coming off the left as hard as we think yeah okay be good get right where’s the wind just a little right left to right wind H that was a good swing I I can totally make that for birdie from my first part three oh dude this part is cake are you kidding me Chase what are you talking about this thing breaks left to right pretty hard all right 13f footer we got a 13 footer here guys St puts up there it’s going to play about 13 inches up and out dang that looks really good guys I knew I was just a little too far outside the left Edge that was the best putt of the day it didn’t go in shoot five under now with how many holes left to go four I got a bird them all what a terrible Sour Patch start I just don’t know what this thing looks like it’s pretty straight oh but you’ve got oh okay all right5 all right I’m going down this car path strip right here wind is in and off the left yep that’s perfect well you never want to start off a challenge by not doing it right but I guess that leads for a lot more opportunities in the future to do it a little disappointed right now but it doesn’t mean we can’t still do it Go 500 in the last four holes would be nutty 147 still can’t bir a par three um 47 in the win pitching wedge it’s going to play a little in play 55 just under 10:30 here nice little draw right up next to the flag come on Bryson give him something pleasur what the where’s the wind wow so that was a again chase that was a really good shot that I thought the wind was going to be pumping it more off the left pushing it back to the flag this is why the game is so difficult because the wind can just throw you off in any instance and make it near impossible to to shoot a low number but sometimes it can be in your favor too and it gives you a hole out or something crazy so that’s why this game is so so crazy makes you want to go makes you want to quit it every day but then that one shot always tends to bring you back down to 3% going to play this thing 13 ft like oh dude 13’s perfect Bryson make a putt to save your life okay that should be perfect that’s so unfortunate dude just didn’t hit it with the right pace I’m so embarrassed right now me too I have not made an eagle on this golf course I’m going to blame it on you chase well 16 dog leg right Chase is trying to CHP me me but I’m not letting him and I’m going right over these trees cuz it’s 292 to get through those trees wind is a little bit off the left this looks perfect right over the middle of these trees little bit of a draw let’s go well that’s down the other Fairway I think we got 73 yards the flag into the wind like an 80 yard shot just over 10 o’clock off of this yeah a tricky little shot here all right it’s fine got to make birdie there not an easy shot there’s a lot of wind off the left of the t- shot missed it right but we’re here we got a 13f footer I’ve had a a lot of 13 Footers today Chase yeah yeah just going left to right and straightening out I’m going to go left Center left Center this has got to go [Music] in wow not my day Chase I don’t know what to say man what’s that six I’m six under missing every Putt in the world and not playing great from with my my short wedges and missing every Eagle opportunity four or five PS by an inch oh my gosh well this’s a tight little Par Four dog leg left totally get there today got to hit this thing nice right off the toe 330 yard hole dog leg left I got to get it really tight to these trees make sure I draw it that’s the third time I’ve done that today that’s perfect I mean that should be really good it’s right next to the hole now let’s see if I can make an eagle for once today right next to the hole perfect Drive pretty perfect I mean it’s like 7 ft off but it’s fine I’ll take it if I had jbo here it have been right on target but no I have got to use Chase one two three four five six 78 I declare a thumb war 24 ft breaking right to left all right let me let me Focus oh my God that is so bad it’s rolling well right off the face dude I’m super pleased with it I’m just not making these putts well looking to have some fun here I don’t know where to go I think it’s right over the trees yeah it’s right over the trees right left not this first left yep the big tree right over the bige yep sounds good that’s where I’m going all right Hickory come on finish it off strong that’s perfect is that good well uh how far is it 40 42 yards yeah 42 yards what 22 ft come on knock this one in you son of a gun 22 ft play like 30-footer it’s going left off this slow pretty hard so I’m going to aim it just at right Leaf yep that’s perfect what a loser that’s so bad well and that’s how you shoot seven under folks two short of the record three break that’s a disappointing start to the challenge folks no win no breaking record still haven’t broken 50 what am I doing with my life [Music]
