ゴルフの達人たちがフィル・ミケルソンを破滅させたであろう方法
hat if Phil Mickelson grew up in today’s YouTube swing guru era?
He’d be told his stance is too wide, his takeaway too long, his trail leg “collapsing,” and his shaft lean “dangerous.” In other words… he’d be ruined.
In this video, I break down Phil’s swing in all its chaotic brilliance, and why most golf instructors today would’ve tried to “fix” everything that makes it work. From the forward press to the deep turn to the hands of a short-game wizard, we’ll show why copying Phil is a bad idea… and why trying to coach Phil might be even worse.
If you’ve ever felt confused by the swing theories flooding your feed , this one’s for you.

No channel is safe here 😂
at a best buy grand opening waiting for a raffle for a sounds bar LOL
Old Man Power. Let's go. 😛
Coaches can talk until they are blue in the face
In the end it is the golfer swinging the club. I don't
Think Count Yogi or Moe Norman ever had a golf lesson …
I would love to see his weight distribution. No way he can have 80-85% of his weight forward. This would be one of the things they would try to change.
He defies time; 55 and still out there with length. I think both he and Padraig do a lot for speed training – you can see Padraig swinging like he is trying to send the head off the shaft prior to setup and is the longest on senior tour. The work some of these guys do to keep what they have is amazing; just Phil doing his putting circle drill from 3 feet – 100 putts in a session, then 4 feet. Lifting the lead heel almost disappeared now for modern swings.
I bet Phil doesn't have the Righteous Brothers on his Playlist 📻
Your videos are better than anti-depression drugs.
Solid analysis. At 55 years old, Phil should not wear short pants.
Phil would have dominated if he had access to a medicus 5 iron. Seriously though, I would have fixed his putting. In his prime he missed a lot of important short makeable putts because he was a pull-putter putting off his front foot instead of being neutral. I'm sure he knows this but figured it was worth it because his longer putts were better with that putter style.
Kinda Mike Austin-ish swing.
The two lefties in my book… Phil & Bubba. Both adopt the kinematics of the baseball swing and could probably make contact off Nolan Ryan – and a foul tip is still contact.
Thank you😊
He was a prodigy early like Tiger so he's not one of those cases where they would have messed with him too much, I think. What's cool is to notice how synced up his his arms and body are from arms level to arms level in the downswing. That's the secret sauce of his swing. Cheers.,
Great video!
They wouldn't fix anything, they would probably ruin it like they did to Seve.
Phil missed a trick, he should have done some videos & called his system " hinge & sling " LOL.
First thing they’d say is, “Son, you say you’re right handed but you want to play left handed? You say it helps you with control, pace, and consistency? Oh, and you want to go pro in a few years?” And laugh him out of the room…
Always thought it was weird he didn’t try putting right handed. Even the most ambidextrous people will be slightly better at stuff like fine motor control on one side or the other. He seems to have been born, at least nominally right handed, why not try putting like he did when he was a kid after missing some gimmies under pressure?
these guys are so good. I love to watch Phil, Paddy, Daly & Bubba…their hands are so perfectly timed and fast. It's amazing how they are the best at manufacturing crazy shapes w/the ball and like you said, ridicules short games. None of them would pass todays training but they all have majors and HOF careers.
Never trust a guy wearing sunglasses indoors and sporting a bun to tell you anything let alone something as important as a golf swing, regardless the theatric delivery..
Love the colourful rant… if its all off the cuff you should quit your day job!😊
i'm just watching his feet… no mystery here — he loads to the back heel and finishes on the front heel. Perfect IMO
Oh and then Perfect Path, Face, Low Point 🙂
did you make this one because of AMGs latest vid, it’s super funny if you did 😆
Louder for the people in the back! ( or just the Golftec automatons) .. and I love the sunglasses' and bun .. although I'm sure that throws off your shallowing and in balance finish! 😜
Dude, thank you for your videos and your analysis. I’m getting back into golf after 10 yrs and the swing information on YT is unbelievably confusing. I’ve always been an athletic and sports have always come easy to me. After listening to you for several weeks I’ve decided that golf is nothing more than hitting a ball with a stick and I don’t need a “golf swing”. I just need to bring my natural motion for hitting a ball with a stick to the golf course
Why do many gurus today say something is wrong, yet the results are amazing? A typical first response sounds like "It will never hold up over time and under pressure…"!
It would be nice to see a video of you taking on online golf forums overrun by a small group of gurus, who attack any who say the same messages you are putting out there. The ones who say nothing can be learned of golfers from the past.
Does Phil have a more neutral or weaker grip?
