Miller Barber lived a tragic life behind the scenes, and just hours before passing in 2013, Jack Nicklaus revealed something that brought a rare smile to the mysterious golfer’s face. The phone call came at three in the morning. Barber was dying from lymphoma in a hospice in Arizona. Most people would spend their final hours with family. But Miller Barber was alone, just like he had been for most of his 82 years.
His Wiki page says he was married with children!
I knew his son Larry who is a helleva player and was a golf rep in our area…When I asked Larry if he ever saw his father play he said no…I was sutprised at that…Maybe the video is correct that Mr X was a loner…He was a hot head on course thats for certain and much of the time that can carry over off course and strain relationships…At any rate he does not get the credit he was/is due…Superb player..
Pure BS.
Miller was married for 40 years and he had 2 sons and 3 step sons. I have met his wife and had dinner with them at Mrytle beach, South Carolina. Part of the Mr. X was true but this video is not true overall. He also had a lot of friends outside of golf. He was a great guy.
This video is a pile of 🐎 💩 not true at all 🤢🤢
What a load of crap this video is. Miller was a social guy in the right places and with the right people—much like Hogan in that respect.
The dumbest video ever. A complete lie. Wife of 43 years. He had kids. Stop making videos.
Should do some homework….Barber was survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen, and sons Larry and Richard and stepsons Casey, Doug, Brad.
Loneliness & Solitude are vastly different.
He was no one's prisoner you only become that when you validate your actions through the opinions of third parties.
What really should be said is "He was a Wise Man and a Grest Golfer".
No matter how social We are, No one will remembe any of Us in 100 years time, not even Family.
Miller will be remembered for his feats on the Golf Course, he was a legend at Life 🧬 and will always be missed by True Golfers.
May he R.I.P.
M. Barber he was married, and had 5 sons, 3 step sons. My dad met him at La Costa course for the old MONY Tournament of Champions. He was quite nice and personable. He wasn't some Mission Impossible cloak & dagger guy…thats all bs.!
Mr X was strong
