Jason Day & Ryan Ruffels- Training with the Lads
Welcome back to The Lads. Starting a new series this week called Training with The Lads. Each one of these episodes JDay will team up with one of the other Lads and talk through a specific set of shots, providing advice and insight into how he would personally play those shots, as well as instruction on how he would help each player.
We hope you enjoy this series and let us know if there are any shots in particular you want to see!
Short backswing and a longer follow through also helps with the dreaded deceleration yip. Playing "catch up" mentally forces you to commit. For those shots it's a great tip. Thanks!
love this
Absolutely love this content! Would love to see similar stuff about different lies but with irons, especially bunker shots. My bunker game is trash.
Some GOAT level coaching and tips right there. Thanks team!
Can you do a video dedicated to short putting? From like 3-4 feet. Chronic yipper here. Would absolutely LOVE to see that. (Jeff, Brisbane, Australia)
That's interesting. Into grain I try to chop. Will try the long release story
What's the best way to play chips and lob shots from pine straw?
this is great stuff! we never hear pros share these things so the average joes can learn how to deal with these difficult lies! thanks for sharing!
J Days chipping technique is the best technique of all , no more duffs with his technique, & in my opinion you can use the same technique anywhere from the edge of the green to 100 metres out ! 👍🙏
i love these videos! video quality is so good too. 💙
How insane is it to get first hand tips from a world #1 and major champion. You the man Jase!
Absolutely love this content! This is amazing keep it up!
Love how the lads are going to be posting educational golf content! Can’t wait to learn from this and improve tenfold
Would love to see something on mid range pitching. Those pesky 30 to 70 yard feel shots
I'd love to see a video on how to handle these sorts of lies with a short sided pin.
Love the content Lads!
This was a treat. Really awesome content! Thank you for going into detail on how to deal with these lies. If I may, one thing I would really appreciate and like to see is to show us what grind/loft you guys are using. I would love to know what different grinds/lofts you guys would prefer to use on different types of lies. I feel like this type of content would be really helpful for amateurs like me. Again, thank you for the awesome content and am excited for the next.
LOVE THIS!
JDay entering the YouTube space is the greatest thing to happen. People always gave general information around this but this is the most in depth I’ve ever seen and extremely helpful
Can you guys do a video on hitting 50 yrd to 70 yrd shots out of the heavy rough? Similar lies that you touched on in the video.
this a Malbon model shoot or golfing
What's the best way to practice around the green? I see a lot of people putting a bucket of balls down and chip to one flag, i guess to mate a repeatable stroke. I prefer to just have 5 or 6 balls and try to hit different shots to the flag, 2 high flops, 2 low runners, and 2 regular chips, for example, the find a different lie and different distance and repeat. Is one better than another? And/or is there something better to be doing?
I learned about "The Lads" by watching The Bryan Bro's channel (please like and subscribe). Overall, it was a very interesting and informative vlog, but I must have missed it, but it would be nice to know which wedges you are using for these types of shots.
Keep doing these vids! Thank y'all so much! Very informative and I love the details and relatability
This knowledge dump is pure gold. More, please!
Subscribed! Awesome content. Thanks!
Fantastic! Thanks Lads!!
Amazing video! Thanks Lads! My vote is for “The IMPOSSIBLE bunker shot”. Downhill lie back of a bunker to short-sided pin???????
Only solution I found is hybrid rolling the ball out of the bunker.. is it even possible to get height from there???
