In the second round of The Genesis Invitational 2025, Rory McIlroy shot a 5-under 67 to move within three strokes of the lead.

The West Coast Swing concludes at The Genesis Invitational. However, this year, out of respect for the victims of the recent wildfires in the Greater Los Angeles Area in January, the South Course at Torrey Pines Golf Course serves as the temporary stage for the third Signature Event of the season, which hosted The Farmer’s Insurance Open a few weeks ago. Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama returns to defend his title from 2024 where he stormed back Sunday with a 9-under 62 after starting six shots off the lead. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will be competing, along with Rory McIlroy, who is coming off his win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Other big names playing include Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark and Sweden’s Ludvig Åberg.

  15. Really enjoy these videos from the tour. Just a suggestion, to intermix the brilliant shots with some near misses and even missed shots, just to add an extra surprise dimension.

  17. It's wild that in all of the US you couldn't find an interviewer that wasn't an immigrant. Thank you to the PGA tour for holding up the middle finger to a nut job , law breaking President . Trump will eventually be impeached , he will lose court battle after court battle and he will be a scourge on the American economy because he is an idiot. Anti Trump is on the right side of American people even if many of them aren't smart enough to know it .
    Trump is giving the US to billionaires , he doesn't care about the large majority of Americans, wake up people , wake up before you are servants of King Donnie.

  21. Yes indeed….those par 5's need to be Birdied or Eagled to get a win here as difficult as that may seem. Tiger did it many times in his wins here so Rory must bring his best "Tiger" into the weekend. It's a game of perceiving what to do and where and how to best place your golf ball nears to the pin to give yourself an advantage. Having a real definitive game plan and heightened awareness of the course and where best to place and target your approach shots is key to the winning strategy at Torrey Pines. With his money, he could hire a team to do this kind of research for him prior to each tournament. That's what I would do.
