The 2019 Masters: A Sunday Unlike Any Other

A unique look back at Tiger Woods winning his fifth Green Jacket at the 2019 Masters – A Sunday unlike any other.

Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

  1. I was lucky enough to be there and witness this myself. Was in the crowd above the first tee shot, on the ropes when he came through 16, and front row as the players and champions of the past congratulated him. This is a day I'll not soon forget and this video is an amazing way to remember it. Truly a tradition unlike any other!

  2. I'm 47 and one of the many Tiger inspired to start golfing. I'm so grateful he did because I fell in love with the game, and my son did as well; he's 27 and an assistant golf pro. All because Tiger inspired me to get a set of clubs and a set for my 4-year-old. It was an incredible, full-circle moment watching this with him as it happened. Forget generational; he is one-of-a-kind, and there'll never be another. I'm grateful I was alive to witness his greatness firsthand.

  3. Koepka, molinari, finau, johnson, and schauffle got a glimpse into what mickelson, els, and singh had to go through week in and week out for like a decade

  4. Absolutely the greatest golfer I've ever seen. To go from being Zeus on Olympus to the pits of Tartarus in his personal and professional life and back again. Have whatever opinion of the man, he's human and fallable, but I'll be damned if he's not the greatest

  5. I was working as a maintenance guy at an assisted living facility during the final round a resident called me to his room for an “emergency” we sat on his couch together and cried watching the last hole together. Rip Mr. Mcsweeny I will always cherish that memory.

  6. For us 70's babies TIGER will always be our HERO our Brother !! Tiger you made us proud once again in 19 !! #5 master champ 🏆 I think you have one more !! Let hope and cheer for #6 GREEN JACKET !!

  7. That 18:32 shot from the trees on 11 by Tiger was absolutely insane. He had water on the left and had to perfectly draw the ball around the trees and not pull it into the water. What a shot!!

  8. No other sportsperson has done more than Tiger has done for golf. Watching this on that day was beyond emotional. For me, the greatest to ever do it. Young Charlie is well on his way to the Pros, what did that moment do for that young man. The GOAT Tiger

  9. Fast forward to '24 PNC where he gets to watch Charlie hit his first ever hole in one! Another great father son moment

  10. When Tiger won in 97 and he and Earl had that beautiful hug brought a tear to my eye and I didn't think I would ever see another moment like that until 2019 and watching Tiger hug Charlie really brought a tear to my eye and was amazing to watch. It is something I will never forget, two of my fav sporting moments.

  11. I hope his daughter feels loved lol. Father Son. Then a quiet mention of his daughter. Come on, girls play Golf as well

  12. I'm 47 years old, I have seen alot of amazing sports moments, I have seen greats retire in their sport,I have seen tragedy and triumph but no one will ever top Tiger Woods and what he has done for the sport of golf. He made people who didn't know a thing about golf start watching it. His 1st Masters there was so much racism and he went out and won with the biggest margin ever. Tiger Woods means more for his sport than any other athlete in any other sport. I believe that if life didn't get in the way he would have had all the records but he is human and all humans have faults. TIGER WOODS IS GOLF!!

  13. I picked up golf in 2010, around the same time Tiger got into the news again for all the wrong reasons.
But it was also because of him, I got into it, I love it, but i hate how in Asia, there are now so many golfers, everybody are so slow on the green, that you get a pile up that you end up playing 18 holes for 4-6 hours…

  14. One of the best, most exciting and emotional things I've ever seen ranking with the Miracle on Ice in Lake Placid. Hearing fans screaming, roaring, crying and chanting his name and, yes, I was crying. I don't care whether people say Jack was better, won more majors etc. For ME, Tiger is the GOAT. For a 12+ year stretch, every Sunday Tiger teed it up, it was must-see appointment viewing more than any other, especially the Majors. Thank you, Tiger, for always giving us your all!

  15. Watching Tiger win in 2019…an unreal moment in the history of Golf. Thank you for all of the memories, Tiger

  16. I was on a couch. lol Man, I thought we were gonna see another decade of great golf from Tiger Woods after that Masters win. He made a comeback and was really healthy but then… that stupid car accident. He hasn't been healthy ever since. He hardly plays anymore.

  17. It wasn’t the fact that a huge crowd gathered around the tee that drew such a big crowd. A game of marbles would have been drawn one of equal numbers. The hundreds of people were there because Tiger
Woods was there and he was going to make history. And he did!

  18. I was rooting for Francesco Molinari. I could see him putting on the green jacket. Then I was rooting for Brooks Koepka later on when he had a chance to force a playoff.

  19. It was a moment ill never forget where I was. My family has always watched golfed back to my grandma. I golfed in highschool and college. The sport has given so much. Best moment ever!

  20. Tiger, ever the gentleman, winning against racism at the highest level among envious fellow players/competitors, even the white people he employed (e.g. his Caddie, Steve) commentators and hateful media! He has high expectations of himself, an ultra winning mind, strategic focus and purpose to win, even when his body was all broke, his public image at the lowest ebb, he held himself together and believed and worked so hard to overcome all odds to the win again! Bravo Tiger! ONLY YOU made golf international, multi-racial and non-status, brother! Well done and blessings as 2025 starts, may this year bring you and your family blessings and more success!
