Michelle Wie was hyped as nothing short of the next Tiger Woods. As a kid, she was a global sensation: competing against not just adult women but the men, at PGA Tour events — signing seven-figure sponsorship deals in the process. But now, two decades later, Michelle tells Pablo what child stardom was really like, behind the scenes. And she appraises a career unlike any other.

  1. Nice to see Michelle doing well and well adjusted. It’s insane the amount of coverage and pressure she was put under as an adolescent under the microscope of the media.

  2. It’s labeled as a sneak preview, but Wasn’t Mina pregs during her first episode? Might’ve been her second episode to. I think you meant to say first pregnant guest in the studio.

And yes, I am fun at parties.

  3. Great insight and perspective of the pressure of being a “child pro-athlete”. She’s wonderful and would love to hear her more on the pod. 👏🏽

  4. I remember Michelle Wie first come up, she was rocket. It’s she mentioned that she didn’t specialist for her wrist. Cuz now it seems like child star athletes are going above beyond on that side of things now.

I just started getting back into really watching sports like I use to back in 98-20011 basketball will always be my era.
Whether it’s watching the liberty ball out being to contenders & the Knicks step up into the spotlight as contenders.
