[Music] [Applause] [Music] chion right start so um what do you think about when you’re swinging the golf club what’s in your mind boxing [Music] [Music] yeah so um lower leg not working as much I take it is the think you feel like um it’s not really pushing off the ground the way you’d like it to so well a lot of people it’s not necessarily a very intuitive thing but um the reality is the the the feet pushing off the ground is simply a reaction to coiling properly and create a lot of power from the takeaway up to the top of the back swing so it’s not necessarily a conscious thought where oh if I just use my left foot properly I’ll create more speed it’s actually a reaction to a proper turn and shift into the down swing so the big thing we need to work on is a in the turn M because it’s not that your feet aren’t using the ground properly it’s just we need to set you up with more power on the back swing in into the transition at impact so that your feet have that reaction to the ground we can’t necessarily consciously do that so it’s about setting us up with a better turn from the on the takeaway so that when you come through the ball you naturally have more of a ground force reaction with the feet so that’s what we need to focus on and but I but I also believe might inhibit your speed a little bit is thinking about all those things with your feet can actually cause you to slow down because conscious thought is substantial when it comes to governing how fast the body can move in all of my record-breaking speed sessions and even in competitions and long drive tournaments when I’m trying to create a lot of speed I have almost no conscious thought so removing those thoughts especially with the feet I think is actually going to psychologically help you out just right off the right off the rip so let me let me actually demonstrate so I won’t no you keep the club you keep the club but I’m going to put you in the position that I want you to be in and it’s going to just feel how much different this is so I’m going to what I want you to do this Trail shoulder this Trail shoulder I want you to pull it off the ball as much as you can so up open up the chest there you go but you know keep you can keep looking down that’s the kind of turn we’re talking about here yeah exactly I didn’t want to go too far that’s just a little bit of a taste for you but what you’re doing there is instead of going like this and kind of stacking over which most people tend to do you’re coming up opening up the trail trail pectoral muscle away off the golf ball which extends the rib cage and thorax which creates tremendous amount of um stored energy so that when we’re at the top of the swing and we transition in the down swing you have all of that coil in that firing power on the trail side and then from there it’s really just letting it rip exactly yes exactly yes and the reason this works so well is because what we’re doing we’re eliminating all conscious thought once you’ve gotten into the top of your back string so you can just focus on firing from there and that will help you create a lot more speed [Music] so so you really open up that chest and turn off the golf ball the big thing I other thing I want you to think about is just not thinking he said he usually doesn’t think as much so he doesn’t think so good we’re already have a good start then [Music] yes there you go spe up I think you can get to 50 and don’t be afraid for this ball to go offline don’t worry about that oo by the way I would like for you to notice how that ball went dead straight the second you stop worrying about hitting it straight for what the heck W wo 47.6 and you have had like probably 5 or8 minutes of listening to us talk too that was 290 and again right up the left side of the Fairway 290 is not too bad in 42 degrees weather but again just let yourself do the just keep accelerating you know get that that position to the top then after that just it’s all fiery that’s it that’s all I want you to think yeah what the heck [Music] 48.5 48.5 287 and that and part of speed training when you start pushing past where you’re NE where you’re used to swinging it’s very normal to have offline shots that’s actually a sign that your body’s learning to fire faster oh thank you you’re welcome and you’re on your way to 3 y drives I appr you feel strong yeah you feel strong yes big boxing big boxing yep just like this boom do it okay let’s do it I think she might not drive you I don’t know we’ll [Laughter] [Music] see
