The DP World Tour and PGA TOUR host the world’s best for a second year at The Renaissance Club for the Genesis Scottish Open. The Field is full of golf’s elite with Jon Rahm the only one in the top-10 choosing to miss this week before the year’s final major. World No.1 Scottie Scheffler will be teeing it up in Scotland this week. He’ll feel immensely confident coming into this one after claiming successes at the Phoenix Open in February and The PLAYERS Championship in March. Tied 12th on debut here in 2021 and finishing in the top-10 in the first three majors of the year, he’ll almost certainly be amongst it come Sunday. Rory McIlroy returns for his eighth appearance at Scotland’s national open. Since finishing in a tie for seventh at the US PGA Championship in May, he’s made the top-10 in his subsequent four starts, including finishing runner-up at last month’s U.S. Open. Xander Schauffele returns to defend his Genesis Scottish Open title. He’ll feel optimistic of his chances this week after hitting a bogey-free 62 to equal the lowest round at a Major at last months US Open. He’s also claimed top-20 finishes in each of his last nine starts. Viktor Hovland, Max Homa, Jordan Spieth and Tommy Fleetwood will all be shooting for top spot in Scotland.

  9. I really don't like this coloring system to indicate par, birdies, eagles, etc. I'm not color blind, but I can just imagine.

There's no doubt Renaissance is a fantastic golf course, but what does it say about the game when the Scottish Open is held at such an exclusive club that people can't play more than once without coughing up unbelievable sums for a membership every year (I've read it's well over 30K)? This is common in the States, but not in Scotland where golf started and has historically been played on common, open grazing ground by the sea. Even now Scotland does a great job (better than many countries) of facilitating people from all financial backgrounds to play great courses, it just baffles me why they'd host Scotland's biggest tournament here whilst simultaneously trying to 'grow the game'.

  15. Commentators need to stop making comments on golf shots they can’t play. “He tee’d it up high and got behind it “ no he didn’t! He was playing for a fade and got on top of it that’s why it still carried 310 and why it went straight left and didn’t curve left.

  22. Dont matter how farrrrr u hit the ball, when u cannot putt when in counts ,in the 4th rounds on tour, and especially in majors? Hence the 9 plus year drought for Rory in Majors, he cant putt when it matters

[ it has been said – by people more important and famous than myself that [ golf is a game of two halves – and in fact – if you are playing golf all by yourself and a pair of golfers are behind you – Then you are oblidged to – / Let Them Through / to be polite so to speak and not hold them up –

    So will some one explain – why Rory is playing this round of golf with other golfers – who for unknown reasons are – / Completely Ignored / – and all focus is on Rory / – is this how it is meant to be – pathetic and pathological –

    How is it possible that the other golfers are – not invited to join in the video – It only goes to show Rory as a Narrow minded – self serving – selfish individual –

    Why does he need or deserve to have – / Exclusive Coverage in any competition – in which there are others taking part in the same match at the same time –

    It demonstrate the insidiousness that the game of golf has sunk to – An entertainment event at which and in which – – / Anything Goes / –

    Why is it that those in control of – The Professional Golfers Association – tolerate and encourage such – / Degenerate – Me Only Conduct / –
