This week will see the first full-field event of 2023, as the PGA TOUR moves to the Sony Open in Hawaii. After a thrilling Sentry Tournament of Champions saw Jon Rahm storm to victory with a stunning 10-under-par final round, 19 players from last week’s field will be teeing it up once again. Jordan Spieth will be returning to the Sony Open for the first time since 2019, alongside 20-year-old Tom Kim, who will be looking to continue his fantastic form that saw him win the Wyndham Championship and Shriners Children’s Open in 2022. Hideki Matsuyama produced an exceptional comeback at last year’s tournament, claiming an unlikely win despite being five shots behind the leader with just nine holes to play. Other top-ranked players to look out for include Sungjae Im, Keegan Bradley and Tom Hoge, who will be looking to add to the first PGA TOUR title he won at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in 2022.

  1. Oh yep that's today just give my couple more days and watch how he chokes he probably won't even finish in the top 15 and generally if all the great players aren't playing he don't even make it anymore to the top 25 or 30 but if a lot of those guys stay home he might have a chance to get in the top 10 I wouldn't count on it hes still the greatest choke artist of all time he will never ever come back and win a major ever…

  2. I like it when the television networks don't add sound bits Audience applause , Birds chirping . etc …

  3. Jordan is definitely one of the greatest putters ever, and he has a fantastic short game, and now he's driving the ball a mile, so other PGA pros must be pretty worried. The only thing he has yet to master, is his mind, but he's on his way there!!

  4. I feel like the game of golf would be more fun for the rest of us if the hole was about ~50% larger. It would reward a good stroke, and simultaneously protect from weird BS deviances in the greens/grass that cause unfair misses… yet still penalize a mis-stroke of the ball from ~10 feet off.

  5. Spieth is hitting it hard now. The contact sounds different. If his ballstriking continues like this, his putter is going to dominate the field.

  6. Really ,,, plain and simple yesterday at the Sony, he fell apart like a cheap suitcase and missed the cut ,,,, yes indeed, that's golf !!
