Brooks Koepka opened with a brilliant bogey-free 63 to take the early lead at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and said he feels like he is “knocking on the door” after a frustrating spell where the results have not matched his play. Koepka said the putter finally felt comfortable, admitted a win would be a huge confidence boost as he works his way back on the PGA Tour, and hopes to give himself a chance on Sunday.
