Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood have both put the brand-new TaylorMade Qi4D driver straight into play — and we’ve got all the details.
In this video, we break down Rory McIlroy’s full Qi4D Core driver setup and Tommy Fleetwood’s Qi4D LS specs, including their lofts, shafts, sleeve settings, and weight configurations as seen from the first event at Yas Links.

We also take a close look at all three models in the new TaylorMade Qi4D lineup — the Core, LS, and Max — and compare them to the current Qi35 series.

We’ll be analysing tour photos, early builds, and visible design changes to see what looks different in shape, weighting, and colour — and what TaylorMade might be refining for 2026.

We haven’t tested the Qi4D range yet, so this isn’t a performance review — it’s an early deep dive into the design and visual tech differences we can see so far. But stay tuned because full in depth performance tests will be coming with the new Qi4D drivers as soon as we get them and we will test all of the new models against each other and compare the Qi4D vs the Qi35 and the Qi10 too!

  9. Ping G400 still best all round driver I’ve hit, could with bit more yardage from it but still unreal, I think Taylormade will eventually go back to titanium

  12. The QI10 was the best driver of last years release IMO but that's really Taylormade's only big contribution since the M6 days in the driver department. The Stealth and Stealth 2 were known for the iron sets (although I absolutely adore the 6 hybrid from the Stealth series. Still in my bag) and Taylormade make great wedges and great irons and the Spider is just iconic on tour. It's just the big sticks that I feel Taylormade can improve on. The fairway woods are easily bettered by other competition like Cobra's DS Adapt fairway woods this year and this years QI35 just is looks basically. The looks are top notch but the performance is less than the Elyte and G440 easily and maybe on par with the Cobra.

  13. DP World Tour just released a video saying that McIlroy's 62 on Sunday at Abu Dhabi was his lowest ever round on tour so could bode well for him and that driver.

  15. Having done club repair for over 30 years Taylormade is the worst quality club ever made. Bad shafts, crappy paint, caved in and cracked heads. Just horrible quality. It’s gotten worse lately if that’s possible.

  16. Not going to lie. Excited for the core to be release and get more information about it. The added weight port will help dial in swing weight for me. Loved it in the og r7 superquad as well as the mini driver. Can’t wait to see what you have to say about them.

  19. This is the longest driver ever by a full half inch. Don't wait to buy this before TaylorMade makes a new driver that is the even longer than any driver ever made by an additional quarter of inch. I guess its that time of the year for youtuber golfers to become shills for TaylorMade, Ping, Titelist et al.

  24. Hit all three Qi4D heads last night in Carlsbad, CA. Yes the core is now a much smaller footprint. All models felt and sounded really good.

  25. As a matter of fact any club played on tour are the same than the one in the stores, they are constructed especialy for the pro players.

  29. What makes you think it's a 1.5 degree loft sleeve? They've had a 2 degree loft sleeve as long as I can remember.

  32. I hit this today and its incredible, its a top contender for my next driver. Will be trying ping and callaway next week against it and then choosing, it will definitely be hard to beat.
