I was taught this in putting and in regular golf shots at age 11. Never stopped. It helped a lot
GOAT 🐐 ⛳️
Simple, pure and correct. He also never looked at putts from both sides, and never hesitated to use a putter from off the green. He had elite skills and an elite mind.
I do this for every shot, usually just 1-2 feet from my ball on its target line. Helps me a great deal. So many of my friends THINK they're aligned at address, but their aim is miles off.
I normally aim for a tree in the woods………works quite well
🙄 he didn't come up with it
I've always done that, just common sense really
GOAT talk
The greatest Buckeye of all time !
When i first started playing, i did this… still do.
Jack was probably not as good a ball striker as Bobby Jones, Ben, Hogan, Sam, Snead or Tiger Woods. But his mental game is without question the greatest of all time by a lot. The mental game off the course is where he separated himself from tiger, and the reason tiger could not catch him.
Something that stands out…"a piece of grass." Still love ya Jack.
Jack taught me this decades ago and I’ve always used it. If I didn’t use it I would be lost.
aim small, miss small.
Jack was good, but Arnold Palmer was 50 times more popular. !! Palmer was so entertaining…Nicklaus played extremely slow and was grumpy and boring.
Like the spot on the alley when you're bowling.
If you hit towards where you aim it works. 😅😂
Yes, spot bowling. If the ball rolls over the spot, you're likely to get a strike. I use it for golf as well, but I don't hit the ball as well as Jack.
Has a sponsor on his bag tho! The greed for money is real with Jack.

Oh I see now. There is a "trick" involved. Is it a card trick, perhaps the ole disappearing coin trick. I'm really curious now.
