What's crazier is that Phil's PM Grind wedges really are purpose built to play the exact way he's describing in these videos. If you try to play a conventional swing, they will blade the ball or severely dig into the ground every single time. But if you follow what he says, it's stupid simple to have a really good short game.
Phil is good but saying you can’t have the ball between your feet just doesn’t make sense. It’s medium.
I do hit high balls with my wedge while ball is far back with an open club face , that gives me a good space to shallow the club and have the ball fly higher!
