Lorie Caner has returned to LIIV Golf’s Mage Stickix GC franchise, replacing Henrik Stenson after the Rder Cup icon was relegated following his worst season. Lorie Caner has admitted he has an incredible opportunity after rejoining Eliv Golf in the all European Mageix GC franchise following Henrik Stenson’s relegation. Caner had previously competed on the Saudi back PIFF circuit between 2022 and 2024. However, he was beaten in a playoff for the final position on the team roster for last season with Anthony Kim taking his place. The 36-year-old returned to the DP World Tour in early 2024 and secured his maiden European tour victory in June of that year. Triumphing at the European tour in Germany I end February 2025. Caner claimed his second trophy, winning the Bahrain Championship in a playoff against Pablo Laull and Dan Brown. He subsequently secured a 2026 PGA Tour card through the DP World Tour, but has now relinquished his car to US circuit to instead rejoin LIIV Golf, following a path taken by Adrian in 2024 and Tom McKibben earlier this year. Joining Mage Sticks GC is an incredible opportunity to be part of a team that has helped shape LIV golf from day one. Caner said in a statement, “The league’s growth has been remarkable, and my experience in the league has led me become a more complete player and a multiple winner on the DP World Tour. To return to the league with Mageix GC is a huge honor, and they bring a standard of excellence, ambition, and identity that really resonates with me. I can’t wait to get started and contribute to what this team is building.” The Bathborn golfer is set to join a Mage Stickix GC outfit that has faced difficulties since Eliv Golf’s inception in 2022. They secured sixth place in inaugural season before finishing 11th in both 2023 and 2024, then 12th out of 13 teams this campaign. He will link up with co- captains Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood alongside Sam Horsefield. For the fourthcoming season, the caner switch to li golf arrives just months after it was revealed that Rder Cup legend Stenson will be departing the Saudi back circuit. The ex-OP champion ended up 49th in the seasonl long rankings, sealing his relegation from the competition.
