ジェイソン・デイの用具進化:13本のクラブセッティングの秘密を明かす
The evolution of Jason Day’s golf arsenal, a bold experimentation. In a surprising move, Jason Day, the former world number one, made a dramatic return to the PGA Tour at the Bank of Utah Championship after a two-month break. But here’s where it gets interesting. He did so with a completely revamped bag, including a set of prototype irons that Arsheet arrived at the tournament with a set of 3D printed AOTA golf irons, a design he helped create. These irons feature a unique curved face inspired by Bryson Dashambo’s US Open clubs. As a free agent, when it comes to equipment, Day is on a mission to find the best and he believes these prototypes could be a gamecher. I wanted to see what the best of the best had to offer, Day explained. When my coach spoke to the team at Aota Golf, he was impressed by their knowledge and approach. The iron’s progressive face curvature is designed to reduce sid spin on offcenter hits, a feature day found phenomenal. According to PGA Tour Lives Lisa Cornwell, Day saw an immediate improvement in his dispersion with these clubs. But Day isn’t done tweaking. He’s opted for standard shaft lengths unlike Dashambo and is considering adding more offset to elevate his ball flight. I’m still experimenting, Day said. After this week, we’ll assess what needs improvement. I’d like to see a bit more offset to get a higher trajectory. In addition to the irons, Day has added Jumbo Max grips and KBS graphite shafts, reducing the weight of his clubs for a more comfortable swing. The goal is consistency, Day explained. I want to be able to swing with one motion and produce the same shot every time. Despite playing with 13 clubs, Day admitted he missed having that 14th club on the par 59th where he finished with a bogey. Will he add another club to his bag on Friday? Only time will tell. This fall, with his signature event status locked for 2026, Day has the perfect opportunity to continue experimenting and find his way back to the winner circle. It’s an exciting time for Jason Day fans as he embarks on this bold journey of equipment evolution. What do you think of Day’s new setup? Do you believe these changes will improve his game?
