Pro Perspective | 2025 Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship
the Asia-Pacific amateur wasn’t around when I was an amateur. I think it’s amazing. I think it’s an amazing opportunity for the amateurs to get a spot into the Masters, to get a spot into the Open Championship, and you know, amateur golf nowadays is is so competitive. There’s so many great players from all over the world, and it’s it’s amazing that the players from this part of the world get an opportunity to play in such a competitive event like that, but then also, you know, dream about maybe one day playing in the major championships. So yeah, it’s it’s an amazing opportunity and you know, it’s been great to play in the Masters and play in the Open and and see how excited these golfers are to qualify and I’ll be tuning in next week. The UAE has put so much into golf over the last few years and they continue to try and expand. They continue to try and grow the game in the region. I’m happy to be a part of that and like things like the Asia-Pacific amateur being played over here for the second time now, right? I think it’s amazing. I think Kaitton Nakajima won when it was in Dubai Creek. You know, we’ve had an amazing winner over there in the region, and I think we have a lot of tour events in the region. So, it just makes sense that we have one of the biggest amateur events in the world over there as well.
