Can the Future of the PGA Tour Break Our Course Record?
Welcome back to the lads and another episode of the course record series. Today, three of the up and cominging stars of the Cornferryy Tour join us. Two of them have already earned their PJ tour card for 2026 and one of them is the youngest member of the Cornferryy Tour at 18 years old. We have Johnny Kefir, Austin Smotherman, Blades Brown. Will they be able to set the new course record at the barn? Let’s find out. But we’re also doing a 3v3 series. The lads versus these three young bucks. Second ball counts. If the second ball is tied, third ball counts. So, we’ll work it all out. We’re going to What do you think they uh Let’s start with Blades. What do you think Blades going to shoot? Four under. Four under. Um he’s coming in pretty strong, man. He’s just coming out. He had hotel issues. I I And he’s coming really late, but he’s looking confident. I’m going to say five. Five under. I’m going to say three under. Okay. What? I’m leaving. Austin Smotherman. I’m going to say four under. Oh, you’re going the four. Four. Back to back fours. Okay. Austin Smotherman. [Applause] I think he’s going to sneakily shoot a six. The guy is a flusher. He’s a flusher. Go ahead. I think four. I think he’s going to get it done out of those three pros. Okay. Johnny Kefir. I’m going to say poor. Bat’s done the easy thing. I’m going to say, okay, Johnny Ke is he’s bombs it. Hits a lot of greens. Great short game. I’m going to say I’m going to say five. I’m going to say three. All right. You’ve gone low. I’ve gone high. He’s going He’s going four. Whatever. One one more than us. That’s all. My name is Austin Smotherin. Excited to do this course record series. And uh I’m going to shoot 500 today. Why not? You acted out. I’m Johnny Kefir. I’m going to shoot 600 today. Tie it. I’m not going to break it, but I’m going to tie it. Oh, that’s good. My name is Blades Brown and I’m going to shoot one better than Jason Day. Whatever he shoots today. All right, let’s go. So, you shoot six. I mean, like I got to shoot seven. You know what I’m saying? What distance do we have? 58. This is Brucey starting 58 yards. Need off to a strong start here. Get in. That’s got to sit. That’s got to sit. That’s got to sit. Sit. Sit. That’s a good spot. It’s a good miss there. I’m a caddy. Just a little spot. Straight uphill. Okay. Like like before, 58 yards. I’m going to try and land it on top and bounce it down here. These boys have not seen the course yet. So, I’m going to try and do a little bit of a better job than what Brucey uh just showed us. die, [Applause] baby. There we go. Oh, nice shot. I took the pressure off him. All right. 58 y. I got 58°. Oh, it’s meant to be. Yeah. Oh, wow. One degree yard. Oh, he’s blocked it. Going around that. Go around that. And then is that a is that what I think it is? Is that like a a backdrop on the back? Yeah. Looks like the greens are pretty receptive, too. They are. Oh, that skip. Skip. Oh, that’s a grain rig. Oh, it’s dry. That’s all right. Middle of the green. That Texas low ball. Good day, lads. Thanks for tuning in. We have a signed hat by me and all the guys that played in it today. We’re giving this away and we’re also going to give away another lad’s hat. So, make sure you subscribe and comment to enter to win this. I’ve I’ve known you for a little bit. We’ve obviously in passing you’ve uh you’ve played the tour for 3 years. Three years. And um this year you’ve you’re currently second on the Corn Ferry, which is fantastic to see. Thank you. Um, going off, you know, what your experience has been from playing on the PGA Tour in the past, going into next year, playing on the PJ tour, what are you expecting? And also, with the experience that you’ve gained, what will you do a little bit differently to become, you know, get that next step where keeping yourself out into it more? I think uh I mean a lot of it is kind of what I’ve become this year is just realizing more of the player I am. I think figuring out how to make better decisions that fit my game just the more tournament reps you get under your belts. Um this year just I kind of gave myself the chance to have more opportunities to win events which I really hadn’t had. So I’ve gotten that kind of taste that I can now kind of hopefully translate to PJ tour rounds and throughout the whole the whole season. So, I think it’s a little bit of just having soaked up what we did this year and realizing that there’s a lot of good. Um, you’re a good player, man. Like, you’re a very, very, very good player. You’ve obviously played you, like I said, heading into what, fourth season on PJ Tour next year. Um, you don’t like it’s difficult to get the PJ tour. So, I think like for you, it’s more of a change of the mentality up here knowing that you deserve to be there and also you’re a great player. Exactly. um once you change that mindset to knowing that you’re like exactly where you and I think I’ve had glimpses of it in the past, but it’s just how to sustain it for longer periods of time and that that’s what’s so impressive with with your career and things like that having played at such a high level and guys like Johnny right now that have turned pro and here they are just on this upwards trajectory just there’s no reason why it has to stop why you know and just realizing that’s even possible. Everyone Everyone has their own journey that they need to follow and like you’re on it right now which is fantastic. Me too wanted to get this emourse record because too busy stuffing around here. Yeah. Today you focus today. We got to beat these guys. Yeah. And these boys need something from me. So here I am missed the ground on the first but that’s that’s the end of all that. Oh go Brucey on me. Stay on the green. Oh no. We missed the green with the B. All right, buddy. You got it. Uh, I see a big old mound between me and the hole right here. We’re going to play this thing out by his mark and I think give us some speed. That is pure classic working. Oh, I went two lads. I went the other way. Whatever you want to do there, lad. You want to finish it? All right, little left or right. Let’s open the account on these boys. Oh, yeah. Count it. Speed. Count it. He knows these greens. Oh, you like that, Blaze of Glory? Oh my god. Thanks, boys. Yeah, you’re welcome. That was dead center. Yeah. Let’s see if uh that was a good look at his calves over there. Look at Jason D. Let’s see if we can uh do something special right here. Hey, if this goes in, can I get the bike? Absolutely not, Val. All right, buddy. We need your parents’ consent. Good roll. Yeah, good speed. Really good roll. Six footer for birdie. So, this is uh we’ve already uh the lads have already won uh the first hole, but uh this is for the course record. So, I got to stay hot with bat right now. All right. Beautiful. Good putt. The lads. Two birdies. Lads. Two birdies on the first. We do have home course advantage. These boys uh tough battle right here. [Laughter] You got your back. I’m a team. I’m a team plug. Got my buggy out of the way. Dirty. Nice. Well done. Scoring for the course record. Myself and Bat at one under the Austin Smotherman, Johnny Kefir, Blaze Brown, even Brucey Pulling in the rear at one over the 3v3 series though. We are one up through one hole. So that’s great. 22 down two 120. You want to go again? You go again. Oh. Oh, yes, he is. He’s from the right. Oh, he’s fading. It’s from the right. [Laughter] He goes uphill. 122. I got 54. Is that going to be enough for us? Yeah, mine. Yeah, it is. 54. Going to aim a little bit left of it. Little breeze into off the left. Oh, get up top. What’ you hit there? Fade like Brucey’s dead rate. Okay, there’s a hill there. That’s all right. That’s that’s fine. That’s fine. Got a uh gap wedge 122. Wind is like it’s non-existent, but if there was wind, it’s coming straight into our face. So, I think a one It’s good to know. Yeah, I don’t think there’s any There is wind. I looked at a windy app and it’s coming this way. So, try and uh It’s up there. Yeah, it’s up there. higher than 100 ft at least. All right. I’m going to say 122. Just if it’s short of it, it’s fine. Right there. Go couple. Go. Yeah. He’s down. Yeah. I needed that. So, kind of where mine and bats balls are like Well, bats is a little bit this way, but like you’ll see the slow rate. Yeah. Yeah. It’ll kind of kick down to the right. What do you got here, champ? I got a little 50°. I’m going to kind of try and copy Jason’s there. So compressy. That might hit that thing and come back. Oh, I’d dream for like spin control like that though. And get it at every pin. Jason, where would you like this divot? Wherever you want to do it, buddy. It doesn’t matter. Like Okay. Yeah, that’s fine. Of course. Has anybody ever hit that house over there, Jason? Actually, touchy subject. Touchy subject. Good father. Bad club. Hit my bedroom. Oh. Oh, that’s dialed. Can’t be the number. Get. No one’s made a one yet. Shot. That is lovely shot. Really nice. Good shot there, mate. Hold on. Take that all day, man. Did you guys str out the flag then? Uh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He was just working it one step right of it. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Same thing. 50° little 125 feel. Oh, I love that. That could be that could be just Oh, yeah. shot. Nice kill. That is pure proximity. That was lovely. Nice shot there. So, just doing a little bit of background research on you, Johnny. Obviously, you’re a Baylor guy, right? So, you went to Baylor. Um, you had a great, uh, career there in college. Long way. Long. Yeah, exactly. 5 years is a long one. So, um, going from college, you went to the Canadian tour. Y, yeah, the Americas tour. You played great down there. got your uh card onto the corn ferry this year. You’re number one in uh on the corn ferry currently right now. Um you’re heading to the PJ tour. Did you expect coming out of college to have such great success so quickly in your career? To be honest, not really. Um you know, I I was playing really good at the end of my end of my career. Uh I made a few changes um you know between clubs and bunch of different stuff but um also not having as much class was nice but yeah I mean not nearly to the level that I have done I should say. Um so I mean to do it this quickly has been really awesome. Yeah. I mean does it feel like a whirlwind or does does it feel pretty relatively like hey this is kind of the new norm for you now? like you’re finding success pretty quickly in that sense and you’re you’re playing great. Um you’ve won twice this year, right? Yeah. Twice this year. Finished second a couple times. Is that right? So you’ve you’ve had great success in that sense. And um are you excited to get on the PGA Tour next year and and play it amongst amongst the big boys? Yeah. No, for sure. Obviously to compete against everyone and uh you know, obviously the best players in the world, that’s always been the dream. And the nice part is is nothing nothing else has really changed that much. You know, I’ve got a good team that’s kind of helped me stay pretty humble. That’s good. So, um, that’s nothing’s really changed success-wise or anything outside of golf. So, I think I think at some point you’ll be so grateful that you have a team that keeps you kind of well grounded. Um, that way you’ll always kind of work on the right things and the team will always pull for you going forward regardless. You know what I mean? And if you can have that team environment where everyone’s pulling in the right direction, it will only make you better as a golfer, too. So, I’m excited for you, man. Like, it’s you obviously got the rest of the Cornferry. Um, so you got three more playoff events to go and um I’ll be seeing you next year. I’ll be seeing this guy next year on the tour. So, I’m looking forward to competing. I don’t know if I’m looking forward to competing against him cuz guy hits it a mile, hits a lot of greens and he’s a good player and even better bloke. So, we’ll see how it goes. Decent life. Yep. Good enough for me. Come back. Speed. Good speed there, mate. Little left to right down the hill. 25 ft. May as well do it for the lads, you know. Oh, just a little bit more speed. Carry a little bit there. Great lines he had. Come on. Travel. Travel. size part too. Well, you just hit the same line. Hit the exact same part, same line, everything. All right, we need this cuz uh Austin and um and blades are in there pretty tight. So, one of them is going to hold it. So, we we need to we need to hold this. Oh, stay up. Stay up. You bugger. I didn’t I didn’t hit hard enough either. [Laughter] you know, out of all the things that have been the most nerve-wracking in my life. Yeah. Um, playing against Jason Day, probably up there. But I got Johnny Kefir and Austin Smotherman on my team. So, brutal, brutal, brutal. Pretty good. This is the to win the the whole go back to even with the lads, correct? Yeah. needed. Very much needed. Oh, he powered it through the brake. Perfect line just powered it through the brake for the win here, boys. Third ball’s going to count. Third ball is going to count. Brucey, come on. [Music] A win’s a win. But this is the course record series. We need birdies. We need birdies. Boring golf on talent obviously, but like the course record is where it’s at. But we kind of want to beat the beat the boys here too. So 101 101. This could be dangerously short. Oh, that’s that’s long enough. You’re fine. Yeah, that’s lovely, actually. Good shot there. Nice shot, mate. Uh, good swing. Thanks. There we go. We’re uh we’re leaning on a 60. Oh, wow. Feeling a little draw working it with the slope over there. So, there’s one. We’re going to get one or two extra out of it. Oh, that’s money. That’s the first one. That’s the first one. Yes. Yes. These guys, that’s freaking good, dude. So mint guys, bro. Jim Cricket flushy, dude. That is mint, boys. Oh my word. Great shot there, bro. Well done. Very nice, dude. These guys are freaking I was thinking about doing a 54. What’ you hit? Was a 58. A That was perfect club. Really? I’ve got 56. Probably even better, actually. Oh, Brucey. Oh, he’s he’s getting out of the way quick, isn’t he? Oh, no. Well, that threw me off. He didn’t have faith in your shot there, Bruce. Lovely. I got a 55°. I’m going to go a little lower one. Just try and one pop it. Stop it in there. Always hitting there tight. Golly. I mean, I got to try and keep up with them here. Exciting times. All these guys come to play. Pulled that. Stay on top. Stay on top. You d that. It’s all right. I can hold that. Yeah, you can. So, what kind of what kind of language is that on the back of your wedge? Oh, this is uh I’m testing new clubs out. But it’s it’s a Voda is the club brand. But that’s the I guess that’s their symbol way of saying he’s trying to cheat. Are these your legal right now? Um, actually I don’t know. I don’t know. 58° 101. Let’s uh let’s dial one in. Oh, Rick. That’s all right. That’s fine. There. I love that journey. Good stuff there, B. Well done, lad. So, Blades, you’re 18 years old. Yes. You’re currently I we I played against you on the PJ tour this year. You played 10 tournaments on the PJ tour, right? This year. Yeah. Or I It was somewhere around that. Yeah. It was like six. Okay. Six. Okay. Six tournaments on the PJ tour. And then you’ve gone back and forth between the corn ferry and the and the PJ tour. Yes. Um you’re 18 years old. I was 18 when I turned professional. You’re a lot younger than me. What made the decision of you turning professional so young? where you just mature beyond your years. I know you’ve had tremendous success. You were you had you were the youngest in medalist history at the USM, right? Yes. Yeah. So, with that being said, there’s no like if you don’t know Blade Brown, you’re living under a rock. Um, what made you turn professional so young? Well, when when I sorry, every time I every time I see you, I think of that two iron that you hit on um I think it’s for the PGA. Yeah. and you’re like go and and that fires me up and and one thing I love to do is I love to compete and when when the offer of me turning professional and playing against the best players in the world day in and day out I was like that’s something I want to do. Yeah. And so um obviously some some things aligned there as well where I was able to turn professional but um yeah that’s kind of you were just ready. I mean did you ever think about going to college at all or Absolutely. Absolutely. I mean the universities these days are so good. It’s like it’s like going to a Ferrari dealership, you know, like they’re all good. Yeah. Um I just thought the right path for me was to turn professional and and I’m having a lot of fun. Yeah, that’s fantastic. I mean this he’s gone on the on the PGA to a very very long time. Obviously he’s got pretty much corn ferry status locked up next year. Um I’m going to be seeing a lot of this guy in you know many years to come. Uh very good player. Teter green very solid bull striker. One more question. um the experience that you’ve had on the PGA tour to the corn ferry. I know that the golf courses are different, but what has it been like kind of going back between the PJ tour and the corn ferry? I’d say from a from just like a course management perspective, the the courses on the PJ tour are a lot more difficult and you have to think, you have to strategize so much more on the corn ferry. with Cornferryy, you know, if you’re hitting fairways and granted you are playing some you’re not playing the PJ tours like golf courses, but you’re still playing, you know, hard golf courses. Yeah. Um, but I just remember Charles Schwab like number one, you know, you if you’re if the pin’s back left and you’re past pin high, you know, you’re making you’re making bogey. You’re dead. Yeah. And so it’s it’s I’d say the just the strategizing around the greens and course management on the PJ tour is just a little bit better, a little bit little bit more difficult than the Cornfree Tour. So, he’s 18, but he, as you can hear, he’s beyond his years. Um, how old he is. His maturity level is obviously off the charts for being a, you know, a rookie. Um, to understanding that at 18 to even have the mindset that he has is very very it’s like a small percentage of people have that. So, I mean, hats off to Blades because it is very difficult to compete against the best players in the world, but also be in the position to go, “Hey, I’m 17. I’m going to turn professional and go from there.” So, like I said before, you’re going to hear a lot of this guy. He’s a complete stud. Let’s go. 25ish feet. I’ve hit a poor wedge shot on the green, but up the hill. I’m going to have to get This is always tough going uphill flat and then kind of going behind. I I got to get get some good speed on this. [Applause] Too hard. Need a little bit less speed. I think it was good. I’ll mark that. Jason, what’s your lowest round ever? Uh, in competition or both? 59 and then in competition 61. Actually, I shot 11 under at uh Century. Yeah, that I think that was what’s your what do you feel when you’re going low? What’s your mentality when you’re having those rounds happen? Keep pushing because the moment that you give yourself time to break and think, you’re like, “Oh, I’m shooting a low score here.” Um, is the more time you give yourself to think, the more time that you start to think about things that could potentially come undone. So, you just got to keep pushing. One thing that I that I really uh a piece of advice from Tiger Woods was anytime you had the lead, you try and extend that lead regardless of where you’re at because once you start to get a little bit defensive out there, then you start to make some mental errors. You start doing so you’re always trying to push the lead more forward. And if you’re behind to try and cut into that lead on Sunday, try and have that lead. So if he’s four shots in front, try and have it by nine holes. And then on the back n anything can happen. So I mean you guys are all proven winners so you kind of know what you you have to do but I mean everyone has their own little flavor on how they like to do things. Yeah. We got a little 18footer a little right to left. Come on. Good speed this thing’s in. Oh much pace. Put that pin there for a reason. Just a confuser. Wow. Is it a left or right? It’s It’s too straight. It’s It’s actually goes both ways. Little pencil box. Hey, hey, hey. Catch hole. Feel like mine’s got a little more decisive slope in it. Going right left. He got the break that uh Johnny didn’t. We needed it. All right, Brucey. Oh, yeah. Hold on. We got two pots here. So, we need to go bang bang for the win cuz he’s making that bang bang shrimp. Okay. Wait, is this for birdie? This for birdie, dude. I know it sounds surprising. Thank you. Appreciate it. He’s sneaking up on you, man. What putter is that you got in your hand? Jason, that’s my 2000 that’s my 2011 Masters putter. Yeah. So, I got no excuses. Oh, God. You don’t want to give blades a raid. Good lag. It’s a lag. I bet we need a lag right there. 7footer. Must make no Oh no. Here we go. Oh no. Blaz got a short. We got a little me and Blades got a little thing going on here. He’s trying to chase me down right now. One better than me. You just gave him the advice. So yeah. Oh man. Keep pushing. He’s catching the student becomes the master. Oh. Oh. I told my 30 somewhere floating around here somewhere. Come on, S. I’m just going to keep pushing. I’m just going to keep pushing. I’m just going to keep pushing. What? That takes you to one, right? One under. Yeah. All right. Thank you. KFT lads a one up. Wow. What’s the course record numbers that J? So Bat Blades myself one under. Johnny Austin even Brucey bringing in the rear at I’m a two over currently and the Cornferry guys won that hole to go one up. So it went one up to us square one up to those boys. match. We got a match. This is 95 playing 93 hole four. I think it’s just almost the same shot we just hit. Just a little less off of it with the wind, right? Yeah. Yeah. Golly. Oh. Oh, no. Please be plugged. We do. We do that every time. Why is that? That one looks That looks so mint, bro. It felt like a little 95 shot. I don’t trust it. That looks so mean. You Austin, you flushed that hole. How far? 92. That one said 95. This This hole is hard. It’s playing games. You boys don’t trust us. Everyone’s hitting the like number with their rangefinders right now. You you guys play yards or Oh, I’m kidding. That’s it. That’s I’m just Yeah, there you go. They’re going to spin. Did you put any spit on that? Yeah. Might be okay. It might have just No, it’s sitting pretty right there. Is it? Yeah. Oh, all sit there. Yeah, that’s fine. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. That’s If you want to improve your wedges, work on half shots. That blade just hit. Blades just hit. He had 94 yards. Went back to a 54. Little hit a little half shot. I mean, you got to learn that shot. If you if you want to get better at golf, you got to learn that shot. [Applause] That’s got a little dry spin to it, huh? Come on, baby. That’s nice. Yeah. Shot, Bruce. Bruce. Thank you. 55° uh wedge. I’m going to try and do what the boys did. Just a nice little turnover. Apple turnover. Um probably there’s not much hurt there. I’m going to go a little 9:00 shot there. Jason, I hit that so far. Sit down. Look at Jill game right there. We’re going to get a That was terrible. So, needs some work, unfortunately. But come on, bat. Come on, baby. Got to help the lads. Oh. Oh, there you go. That’s nice, too. There you go. All right. I don’t think I’ve hit this green in all the course. I don’t think I’ve hit this green. I did say don’t go long left and I did go long left. So, um I think I’m going to bang one end of that slope. Just one bounce to stop it in there. So, sure. Thanks, buddy. Great shot. Shot, mate. Well done. Beautiful. Beautiful. Thank you. Okay, I’ve got about 20 ft down the hill. It’s going to go right to left and straighten up. And it should go a little left to right at the end. Pace part. This would be a a banger if it goes in. The line too little left. Yeah, I got the same part as re to left over that slope down left to right after that. Got a good line here. I’ll stay left. You gave you good reads there, man. Yeah. Got two solid reads there. We’re just going to try and split the middle there. This would be massive for the program right here for the foundation. [Applause] He’s there. Turn in there. He’s there. Turn in there. Oh my. I like to see good golf. I like to see good golf. Well done. Great, buddy. That’s a two. This guy’s This guy’s chasing down the course record. Forward and a bit footer to left or right. Um, this sneakily breaks a lot, so I got to get the speed right here. Lovely. Oh my goodness. Stay one. You must have cut this hole in the corner. Oh my goodness. I got to I got to I’m going to stay I got to stay within arms distance. That was a That was a nice slap, too, by the way. Just to keep making pars. A little three-footer or four fourfooter. Four and a bit footer according to Jay. All right. Wow. Big putt there from you. A big score check. Um Blades two under. Bat one under myself. One under. Johnny’s even. Austin’s one over. Brucey, you two over, right? Two over. Two over. And then the 3v3 match. Those boys are getting a little bit size of lead. Two up. Size. insizable coming from the guy who’s one over par right now. Hey, I mean this is quick fast like short little wedge shots. I mean we got a short one coming up here now and um the boys come to play. It’s really good. Lads are two down to these boys. They’re rock stars. Really good. We need to lift. We need to lift. This is a hole to do it though. have to. It’s okay. That’s okay. It’s okay. Try driving in that hill. I think you got to just play try and play the skipper, but land it in the flat, not enough. So, so much driven. Go. Doesn’t really get that skip. It doesn’t skip. would fly it. I kind of see it though like landing into that slope. Maybe a different maybe a different club. Uh let me let me see what I can do with this one. Oh, hard. Oh no. He nearly had it, too. Dang. I got 54. I’m going to try and drive it in there. One skip just before the hill and skip 3/4 of the way up the hill. And then z. And then little break right in. What was that? A little z. Look at that. Oh, bat. That’s me. Oh, missed my spot by five yards. You did not. That’s why you play that shot. Yes. All right. Lower, too. Yeah. I’m going to go low. I got a 55°. So, I’m just going to pen a hopefully one bounce off the top. Kind of like similar to bat but little bit shorter than it is. Oh no. Elevated. Oh no. Jo, what are you doing? Boys are putting some pressure on me, man. It’s all right. That’s That’s my game. Hit it crap and hold a lot of parts. Spoon it up. I got 55°. Little low one. something the last we didn’t all hitting 60s. No one’s at We saw you rookies. I missed a drink. I like it. Oh, that’s so good. Oh. Oh, shot. Thank you. What tournament you guys looking forward to playing next year? Like on the on the on the on the regular tour? TPC cuz that’s my home course. San Antonio. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I got you. I got you. The Valero. So, I’m excited for that one. Hometown. How old were you when you first went to the Valero? Well, I moved there when I was like 13. It was probably when I was 14. I think it was like the next year that I moved there. That’s pretty sick. Yeah. Is there a favorite tournament for you, Austin? I one spot that I I want to get back to and play is uh is Tory Pines. Yeah. Tori Tori during the Farmers and seeing those fairways, those that grandstands and the setting. I mean, yeah. How do you beat that? I know, man. and you’re in San Diego for the week. So, good thing is that I’m on the correct level. Hit a little bit hard on my 55 degree. Um, little right to left. Uphill right to left. Just a little bit. [Music] Just smoked it through the brake. city. Hate to see it, but you know what? You know what? That’s That’s a tap in. I need to start tap. I need to start keeping up. I need to start making some putts. Oh, that’s Oh my good, man. Three, mate. Cheers. I think this is a must make. Yeah. Yeah. 100%. All right. [Applause] Drip. Drip. Oh no. Little drip coffee right there. Oh, [Applause] that hit the bricks. It did. Come on, boys. Little right to left downhill. Nice looking putt. Really? This is the one. Yeah. Brucey that well done. I’m good to pitch in one out of every nine holes. All right, this is to join blades at the top. Beautiful. Nicely done. Solid there. B. Thank you, boys. Nice. Thank you. Good. Brucey Blades two under bat. Two under. I’m one under. Johnny is even. Austin’s one over. Brucey is one over. And the 3v3 series that we got going on. The boys, the cornfairy boys are one up right now currently. 152. Sorry. 152. I have a 9 iron. Going to try and take some off this, but it is a little bit back into little small section here. This is the tougher hole here, boys, that we have. This is our signature. This is the signature. Let’s see what I got. We’ll hit that. Hit that wind off the left. Snag fairway. Oh, fairway. Is it? I think it is. Okay, I got away with one there. Dude, that flight was nice wind. I got nine on. I’m just going to just lean on a little bit more. Oh, it’s not going to turn. It’s not going to turn enough. Okay. That was pretty good. Just mid middle. Jason, is that how you see iron shots? Like to that back left, you would hit a draw. Yeah. So, okay. So, this is funny. When um it depends on what you like cuz sometimes guys like to hit draws and fades. I back when I was number one in the world, I would aim 30 ft right and hit a 20ft pole draw. So it for some reason I could never start it out right to left. I’d always aim 30 ft right and hit this kind of like pull draw and then it just hit that all I knew exactly what I was doing. So you just play a stock shot. Yeah, exactly. You carve it in there. Do you move it around? I’ve just recently started to see shots like that and that that’s why I was asking. Yeah. So, I’m going to go back to just kind of hitting little draws. For a moment there, I was like injured a lot and I couldn’t get the club in the correct position without hurting my back cuz I like to early extend and that’s what caused my back to get sore. So, okay, I’ve got eight on. I’m going to hit a laser straight at that flag. I was nervous. Go. Why were you nervous? You hit a mint shot. The house before. Oh, house. This is the hole. This is the hole that he hit the house on. Yeah. And I haven’t hit the spot before. [Laughter] Just just what you want to be thinking about. I don’t think long is good. Um so I’m kind of kind of just under stock. I’m kind of try and start it start it in the middle and try and draw it in there. Oh, that’s a nice shot. Be the one. Sit. Hit that back. Great shot. Well done, man. Jeez, that was pretty. That had a nice sound to it, bro. I should have hit nine. Is that what you hit? Yeah, I told you. I tried. You did. Whatever Johnny just did, I’m just going to try and feel that. All right. Same thing. Little draw nine. Oh, this is just playoff material right here. Oh my. I mean, come on, boys. That was like 92. Incredible. Fuzzy. Okay. Just trying to be like you, B. Come on, Blades. Come on. That’s exactly Don’t hit it. Hit it when you go inside the house. Oh, bounce. Great kick. What a kick. Remember bounce. That should be his dude. Just hit there. Somebody’s on the board. I mean, those two shots there. Really difficult shots going, you know? I mean, just they made that look so simple and so easy, but uh there’s not a lot of room up here. Like there’s no no room up here and he’s just hit it to a foot. Yeah, good one there. Well done. Hey, cheers. Me and Brucey are on the green, but we’ve got very much outside chances. So, I’m going to get it up there and try and hold a pot cuz we need one. Good roll, Bruce. Oh. Oh. How does that stop turning? The dreaded early call. Oh, that was in before I hit it, actually. You know how it Oh my goodness. I don’t know how that missed. Jason, what do you think? High or low? Uh, high for fun. High for fun? High for High for fun. low for uh get it close to. He’s going high. Never mind. High for YouTube. Yeah. Come on. This is This a YouTube video. Come on. Blade is a man. This is It’s kind of firm underneath here. I got to kind of like fly it like a yard. This has got to go in for the half. Oh no. Commit to it. He just had two bad practice swings in. I’m not allowing this. Back up. Back up. I’m not allowing this. Don’t. What do you say? I’m I’m I’m trying to land it here. And then that that that that box 100% commit to it. Stoping me around. Oh no. Was that cringy? No. It was like a no underplay then overplay on that shot, lad. That was horrible. Defend that guy. Yeah, that was a horrific sticky lie. It really was. All right, 30 footer up the hill. It’s going to go right to left up that slope. Pace got to I mean this got to go in to stay at two under. This would be huge. Oh, it went right up on top of the hill blade. Did you see that? Yours isn’t going to do that. Dude, nice dot. Great save, by the way. Like a little sevenfooter for the bird. Little right to left. [Laughter] more than you thought. It went right left or right. Solid bogey. All right, Johnny. Yes, hold on. I mean, look at look at this. You boys are back up to two up, right? Two up, three to play. Two up, three to play. So, we have Blade two under bat, myself at one under. Johnny, what are you at? It’s weird. I’m at even. Even Austin, you’re back to even. Back to even, Brucey. I’m one over. All right. We’re getting there. We need to I need to step up here because we got three holes to play. You made it. And um this is crunch time. They’re two up, man. Almost ding. Hey, what? 78. 78. Oh, is it? Oh, that’s so nice. Is that a little long? Maybe some zip to it, but not the That was lovely. Thanks. 78 78 78. Yeah, that’s pretty good. That’s perfect. Yeah, that’s that’s perfect, man. Good spot there, too. Well done, mate. Beauty. See what we can do. Sit a little bit. Sit. Some zip. Just a little long. It’s pretty good though. It’s all right. Take that. I’m going to go. I’ll take that. I’ll take two. Be good. We need a one. Oh, kicks. Oh, dude. Oh, a yard less. It would have caught it. Raker want me to go. Oh, Ricker. Boo boo. All right, I got 58. Yeah, the boys are putting on putting it on us. We need to win this hole. Massive. Come on. You’re [Applause] thin. Catch the catch the green. Oh, that’s fine. Catch a piece. Catch a piece. That’s a flush mint. Miss it. That wasn’t a miss. There was so much angle in that coming down. That was just like Brucey. Brucey. Brucey. Spin back. Spin back. Good shot, Bruce. Lovely, Bruce. Cheers. Well done. Easy. Oh, that’s easy in. Oh my word. That was a great putt, dude. 18 ft uphill, right to left. Just got to get it there. Hey, try that. Very nice try there. 15 foot down the hill. quite sign significant break, but like if you get too far right, it kind of stays out. So I got to get the right line here. Hold it. Did you talk during that process? Come on, Bruce. Hair of past. Feel like you’re mad at me. Oh yeah, definitely a hair. Just a hair. Everything else is perfect. Yeah, I for some reason I just knew it was going to break left or right at the end. Be nice to make a little slinger right here. Beautiful. Hold it, dude. Good pop, man. Your rolls are nice right now, dude. Thank you. Get through. Brucey, come on, baby. Cometh the man. I got a little right left to eat your talent. Believe in me, please. Stay up. Let’s go, Kefir. For the match. This is literally for the match to put it away. Yeah, put it away. That was such a good part, bro. You’ve given me nothing. Blender. This blender right now. You just linger. You g You’ve given me life. Oh boy. That was such a good part. That was a good part. That was a good part. All right. So, I love that part. The lads adoring. The boys are playing some good golf. We uh need to pick it up. Hole eight coming up. Uh the current lead is Blades two under. I’m one under. Bat, what are you? One under. Johnny is Johnny, you’re square, right? Yeah. Austin square and Brucey’s one over. I should know that by now cuz we haven’t made many birdies. just keep flipping them out. So, but nonetheless, we have hole number eight, 50 y, 50-ish yada. Um, we need to come in with a couple of birdies, if not three birdies, cuz these boys are going to take advantage of this. Try and try and put a little bit of spin on this one. See if I can put it in tight enough that I can not have to putt. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Come back. Yo. Yep. Yep. Oh my god. Oh, what a shot. Great shot. I think that’s close enough. Yeah. Baby, let’s go. Couple of hole. Nearly hole in ones today. All right. We just had a roadie here early. Oh, that’s kicking right, too. Use a spin. Jeez, boys. That’s nice. Do you guys feel bad taking divots here or 57? Gosh, 57. All right, 56. Just do what they do. Take a soft one. Tell you what, guys. These guys. Let’s keep lining them up. Line them up. Knock them down. Cream is actually a good team player out there. Oh nay. Okay. Bounce last time. One bounce. Stop. Just a little bit short. I love that. I’ll hold that part though. Go. We That’s okay. I feel weak pierce. That is flummy. Yeah. Fat and blocky. Oh, how good the fat is left. That was the right amount of energy. The chunk flyer. The chunk flyer. The short get the block. So, we get the block. The the fat long bat. It’s better than the short skinny, right? Block. Short and spinny one. Plus short. That’s what you were saying the other day. Hot. You saying there’s a chance. Oh, boy. Dude, that is literally on the edge. That was the closest to a holy one we’ve had. Yeah. Like an actual legit chance. Good birdie there. Thanks. That works. The lads have hit the all. Everyone’s hit great shots there. Even Bat’s fat trap block that he had the chunk fly. I mean, it’s as close as Yeah, the chunk fly. It’s closer than us. So, we got a little uphill left to right. We need to hold all our threes cuz Johnny’s already made birdie. Um Austin and Blades are close. They got downhill, right to left, which is I like downhill, right to left, mate. Okay. Must mate. Oh my god. Still alive. We’re still alive. Got to pretend I’m Jason Day here. Come on, Brucey. Come on. That’s That’s not good. The other side. We still got a chance. Who cut these holes? Definitely not me. It was a guy named Jason, but not Jason Dave. You think it’s on the edge or more? Yeah. I mean, these things rolling so good. All right. I like that. On the edge. Like that. Down the hill. Yeah. Beauty. Great. That put us away. Come on. Defense. Oh, not a good high favor. Oh, dude. That put us that put us away, unfortunately. That was the boys played good. Come on, Blades. Where Blades is at two? He’s going to Is it two? Three. Go to three. Go to three. Got a really good read off Austin. Let’s see if we can replicate that. Little right to left up the hill. Wonderful technique. Thank you, boys. All right, this for par. We’ll be fine. I don’t like that. A little frisky on that. It’s all right. We good. We’re good. Good man. Nice. Very nice. Good three. Good three. Well done, boys. We find the last. Are we going to play? Absolutely. Yeah. Well done. Well done. Appreciate it. Well done. We still We still got one hole left. Come on. So, score check. One hole left. The boys finished strong. We didn’t hold those parts, unfortunately. So, they beat us. Good point. What was it? Two. Three and one. Three and one. Oh, that that hurts. Yeah. What’s the press? So, well, what’s the score? So, Blades is two under, one, two under, one under. Johnny’s one under. One under. Austin’s one under. One over. Brucey’s one over. Straight at it. Even if it goes down the hill left, you’re completely fine. Putting back up that. How far you 96. Now I’m getting greedy for birdies. I just want to go at it. Love it. Love that. What was it? Come on, baby. Oh my god. Kick off it. Kick off it. Like two numbers. Really good. Where we at? 95. Little downwind. Maybe 90 up ski. Maybe. 90 up. Yes. Little down. Little help. Not much. Oh, son. 69. Mint. Oh. Oh, that’s down the hill. Let’s press. Oh, no. Go in. That is a big pot up that hill. All right. Same thing. 60° 96 landing 96. It’s nice. That’s a Yeah, that’s a good spot. It’s absolutely fine. Shot there, Jade. Really good. I’m going to be Oh yeah, I forgot. Oh no. What hole is this? This last hole. Oh my gosh. Try and play it like 93. Little skip forward. I like this one. Sit, sit, sit, donkey. Oh, she gone. All right. I mean, business going. I should have done that nine holes ago. Y I’m going to aim straight at him. He’s left leg, I reckon. Where is he? Somehow catch up. Oh no. Oh no. Okay. L luckily we uh your bunker game is really good. Don’t forget your sunnies. That was so good. All right, we got like 50 ft putt putt style up the hill. Let’s see what we can do. [Applause] Oh sick. Give it a run. You know, you know what? It didn’t come backwards, so we have a chance. This could be a two shot swing here for Jason. So, this is uh this is not going I’ve got 25 ft. It’s going to go a little bit right to left, then left to right, and then kind of hold hopefully for it to go in. Go. Hit that a little bit harder. Jason’s got 8 ft. What’ you say? 8 ft. Yeah, at least for bird and I’m 20 ft for par. So, uh, come on, Blades. Come on. Hey, you know what you said? You said keep that gas pedal down like that. Got bang. What a bang. Bang. That was I mean that was sick. Clutch of all clutch right there. He told me to keep the gas pedal down. So you have to keep the gas pedal down. I got it halfway there. That’s a big It was a great lawn. Oh. Oh, no. He’s penated through the break. Oh, I wanted to give it a roll. Jay to tie the leaders. Tie the leaders at two. And uh if we noticed earlier, Blade said he wants to beat me by one and he just put the gas pedal down on the last part and hold it. So, Oh, for some reason they keep going in for him. What has gold ever done for me? That was a good buddy. Appreciate it, bro. Let’s go. Johnny. Come on, Johnny. This to finish at two with the boys. Yeah. What a Well done, boys. I still got a pot for the Sandy. Well done. Is he okay? Is he okay? Thanks again. Good stuff. Well played. Awesome. Thanks. Hope you boys kill it this week, man. 1 2 3. Thanks for coming, man. Appreciate you, dude. All right, lads. Unfortunately, we lost the 3v3 against these studs. These guys are fantastic players. Johnny Keeper, Austin Smotherman, and Blades Brown. Names of the future. Exactly. This is the future. This is the future of the PGA Tour right here. Uh this course record Brucey at last one. Two under two under Johnny even. Austin two under two under two under. So we two two under across the board. But uh thanks again for watching guys. um next year, watch these guys play. I mean, we got uh two guys that are going to be on the PGA tour. Blades is not that far behind. We’re going to see a lot of Blades here very shortly. And uh thanks again for you guys coming on. And like and subscribe.
Blades Brown, Johnny Keefer, and Austin Smotherman are out today trying to beat the course record. Three rising talents with plenty of wins ahead of them on Tour.

What a video another great one:-)😊
Great stuff Jason! Loved the time you took to learn and talk with and mentor the young guys!
do not watch with airpods, only the one side works
🎉🎉🎉
I am always amazed at how cool most of these pro golfers are on their own channels and other channels, especially when they are playing alongside non-pros. Jason seems like one of the nicest and truly dedicated to building the game itself, but other players games. Regardless if they are a hack, amateur, pro, partner, or opponent he always gives great advice. It’s also great to see some of what Ohio has to offer in terms of courses. I know this is his course, but on other channels he has them to some courses around Dublin/Westerville so for that I give a big O-H. Maybe he can come up and play Boulder Creek and break that course record.
Blades is the future!!
What a mentor this guy is to these young hopefuls. So glad he’s on YouTube and doing this content
Epic challenge…love that you are giving light to these up and comers….so solid by JDay!
