Bryson Dashambo was involved in a heated exchange with Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Rose during the Saturday fourballs at the Rder Cup. Bryson Deambo found himself at the center of a furious confrontation with Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Rose as team USA’s woeful Saturday went from bad to worse at the Ryder Cup. The Shambo and Scotty Sheffler trailing by three holes needed a birdie at Beth Paige Black’s 15 Green to stay in contention which the Shambo successfully managed. But drama then unfolded as Fleetwood and Rose expressed their frustration, seemingly suggesting that Dshambo’s Caddyy, Greg Bodin had blocked their line of sight. The Shambo responded furiously to the European duo’s objections, triggering a fiery war with Fleetwood and Rose. Fleetwood’s imposing Caddy, Ian Finnies, appeared to try calming the situation as the players traded Barbs. Sheffller’s caddy, Ted Scott, also waited into the frecus, angrily confronting the European pair and vice captain Franchesco Molinari, who was even pushed before tempers cooled. When questioned about the flash point, Rose said, “It was a shame the match got to that point.” I was waiting to putt. The boys were working on their read, going through their bits and pieces, so I waited. I felt like they then came up again, and I questioned, “Is my putt right?” Maybe I didn’t say it as politely in the moment, but there was by no means any disrespect. Obviously, it was taken the wrong way by Dashambo. I don’t think we should dwell on that. If I should say, “Excuse me, please,” then my bad. Fleetwood, when asked about his perspective, stated, “It’s part of it, right? It’s one moment out of two days of a lot of great golf. Whatever it happens, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal.” Another point. Every single point is huge. Let’s finish the day off and think about tomorrow. Rose, when questioned if the incident was resolved, responded, “I hope so. I spoke to the boys.” It should be. There was no intent behind it whatsoever, especially with Scotty. I admire him. Huge respect all around. From my point of view, it was taken in a way it shouldn’t have been. I think happy days all around.
