It’s funny, the first tea, no matter what, I’m always still so nervous. But I kind of reframed it, shifted the mindset where I’m happy that I’m feeling nervous. It is a privilege to feel nervous because once you don’t feel nervous, that just means you don’t care. And I remember like when I played my last US Open, I did feel less nervous, which really I felt that it was the right time to retire because I just wasn’t out here really really gunning it to win every single time. I just kind of reframed it as like, okay, this is a privilege to feel alive, to feel this nervous, to feel like you’re going to want to throw up every time you step onto the tea.
