Michelle Wie West on being fearless as a kid in Golf.
That’s amazing to be shooting those type of scores at that age. I mean, I’m striving to get anywhere close to that now. And I like my lowest round was a 70 and I felt like I was in a boxing match trying to get that 70. When you’re that young, do you realize how good you are? No. I think that’s the the greatest thing about being good when you’re young. You don’t think about anything. You have zero fear. I had zero fear as a kid and and that unfortunately I think was a learned thing as I was getting older. I look at all these young kids playing golf and it’s just I have a sense of envy because, you know, they don’t have experience and I mean that in the best way. They don’t have experience to feel fear. They just go out there and play completely fearless. I think that was just one of the things that unfortunately that that held me back a little bit was, you know, I started getting injured. I started feeling like physical pain and then the fear of pain and then the and then not playing well. And it’s like the fear of not playing well.
