Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

  1. I went two years ago and the golf is not what I remember. It’s the tradition and the shared love for the course.

  2. The Greatest Weekend in All of Sports.

Savor every last moment ladies and gentlemen, this event is truly unlike any other in our modern commercialized and corporate world.

History, prestige, excellence, this is what truly gives our culture its indomitable flavor.

    Enjoy the Masters

  3. I’m 13 years old, and today for the first time, I went to the driving range. It all started I think two weeks ago, the saturday the Augusta Women’s Amateur was on. My dad had turned it on that morning and I couldn’t tear my eyes away. I sat there transfixed. I couldn’t get golf out of my head once it ended, so I watched reruns of year old competitions. I watched it on the bus from school, in the morning while getting ready, in the shower, while making food, and doing my homework. When I closed my eyes all I could see was a golf course, when I went to bed my mind would race about different plays, when I dreamed, I dreamed of golf. I soon started grabbing a broom and practicing my swing, then I found my dad’s old golf clubs. I started going out after school to some field, and with a plastic golf ball and with his sand wedge, I started hitting the ball. I’d do it for hours. I would refresh the master’s website, and youtube page for another video or interview or something, anything. Today my dad took me out to our local driving range, and I finally got to actually play. I topped and flushed a lot of them, until finally, I stopped missing. Soon I started hitting them straight. I even hit one almost 200 yards! I used to think golf was boring or something reserved for only old, rich people, but now I cant stop thinking about it. My dad signed me up for lessons and I’m planning on going to the course as much as I can. A guy even gifted me a putter which I think is a sign.

This comment is long, I know, but I just had to say that. These videos are something I long for, and I hope, one day, I will be able to experience this for myself in person.

  4. Not sure why. But the masters is the most magic and honestly the best sporting event of all year. Love it!!!
