Suspended PGA Tour Pro Exposes Jon Rahm’s True Character 👀 Refuses LIV Golf Exit

YouTube has become more than just a hub for golf highlights and funny rants about missed putts. It’s now a stage where golfers can reveal sides of themsel that fans rarely see. Bryson Dshambo embraces his mad scientist persona with outrageous challenges. Grant Horvat pulls in millions of views hanging out with PGA and LIIV stars. But perhaps no one has benefited more from YouTube’s reach than John Rom. And for that, he has longtime friend Wesley Bryan to thank. John’s been one of my closest buds in professional golf for a lot of years, Brian said recently on the golf.com YouTube channel. The only genre you got to see was in competition. He’s one of the most fiery competitors out there, but that’s just not him. For years, Rahm’s reputation has been tied to his temper. The Spaniard’s fiery encors personality, swearing mid round, snapping at crowds, even nearly breaking his driver in anger, made him one of golf’s most polarizing figures. Dominant, yes, but also intense and unyielding. Yet, thanks to Wesley Brian and the Brian Brothers Golf Channel, Rombo’s image has started to shift on their channel. Rum has appeared in fun challenges and laid-back videos, showing a playful, warm, and humorous side that few fans had seen before. Away from the cameras, Rum also gives back through the ROM Foundation, which supports single parent families, children, and women from marginalized backgrounds. Another side of him often overshadowed by his competitive fire. He’s a soft, sweet guy. He’s fun, got a lot of personality, and you just don’t see that in the heat of battle and tournaments, Brian explained. Rahm echoed those sentiments, once calling Brian his oldest, closest friend on tour. Their bond goes back years from Rahm staying with Brian ahead of the 2018 Masters to Brian publicly standing by him during his LIIV switch, even at the risk of his own PGA card. That risk turned real earlier this year when Brian was suspended from the PGA Tour for playing in LIIVbacked exhibition, The Duels, Miami. With 68 cuts made in 134 PGA Tour events, plus nine top 10 finishes, Brian didn’t regret the decision. “I’m extremely grateful to the tour for everything, but I don’t want this to be the end of my career,” he said after appealing the suspension, which was ultimately upheld. Support quickly poured in from LIIV players like Bryson Dambo and Phil Mickelson, and reports suggest Brian will return to play the same event next year. Still, despite the controversy, one thing is clear. Brian Brothers Golf has been a PR gamecher for John Rom. The channel has helped reshape his public image and show fans a more authentic, approachable version of a Spaniard. It’s no wonder Rom has admitted he’s tempted to start a channel of his own. He’s seen how Dambo turned quirky content into a following of over 2 million, even claiming it helped him handle pressure on route to a US Open title. Phil Mickelson, meanwhile, jumped on YouTube only recently, but already boasts half a million subscribers. But Rum isn’t ready to commit. With three young children and a relentless playing schedule, he says his family and golf will always come first. As of right now, I’m perfectly happy appearing on channels. I’m perfectly happy playing with those guys to Shambo and Mickelson and in a way getting exposed to their audience, but I don’t know if I would yet find the energy in me to try to find the time to do a channel myself. For now, Ram is content being a cameo star, joining his friend for challenges, enjoying the laughs, and giving fans glimpses of who he really is beyond the fiery competitor. As he put himself, the platform is simply a lot of fun. So, what do you think? Should John finally launch his own YouTube channel, or is he better off keeping it casual with cameos?
