The six automatic qualifiers for the European Rider Cup team are set. Yes. Rory Moy leading the way along with Tour Championship winner Toby Flewood, Justin Rose, Robert McIntyre, Tierrell Hatton, and Rasmus Boyard. Mark, when you take a look at those six players who will be playing for team Europe at the RDER Cup, what do you think? Pretty strong. Yeah, I think it’s strong. I think their better players are playing well at the right time. Now again, that’s if the RDER Cup was starting tomorrow. It’s not. We’ve got some time. Uh Keegan Bradley has suggested that his team’s going to play um in Napa, which is the only PGA Tour event, the Procore Championship, between now and the the Rder Cup in the middle of September. So, we’re going to see most of team USA, Team USA at that event. In all likelihood, it’ll be curious to see how many Europeans uh continue to get starts, but I think overall, yeah, and of course, Rasmus gets it done and bumps out Tierrell Hatton. Not too hot, excuse me, bumps out Shane Lowry of that final spot on the final day at the British Masters, right? I mean, that was Shane Lowry had that automatic assist spot and Hoygar goes in and gets it done at the British Masters to bump uh bump Lowry out of the top six. Now, I think you and I both believe that Shane Lowry is going to be a part of this team. He’s going to be a c a captain’s pick and who knows maybe he gets to play some golf with his Zurich Classic of New Orleans teammate and best friend Rory Moy in terms of a partnership. We’ll have to wait and see. But uh Adam is Shane Lowry, he’s got to be an automatic lock, does he not? Shane Lowry is definitely going to be on that team. Had a really really really good start to the PGA Tour season. Was sort of quiet I guess in the summer months a little bit, but Shane Lowry will certainly be on that team. And I’m glad you mentioned Rory, too, because yes, Rory and Lowry have partnered together in that Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Rory’s partnered with a number of players in his career at the Ryder Cup, but maybe out of the top six automatic qualifiers. Is there one name in particular for a player who you think would partner well with Mroy? It’s going to be interesting to see. I don’t know, maybe Hatton a little sandpaper along with Rory because you know Rory can bring some emotion in the uh RDER Cup, but he’s also one of the nicest guys in the world and sometimes too nice. Obviously, we saw some sandpaper the last time around with with Rory. But I think uh you know maybe bringing that uh bringing that tier hat and that little edge right out of the gates with Rory wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. I do see him with Shane Lowry though at some point here. I’d love to see Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Rose. I think that would be a great pairing. Uh, great friends. Get the Englishman out there. Let them go. I think that’d be fun. It I going to be curious to see how Luke Donald decides to do this, Scully, because there’s a couple different ways he can go and and for that matter Team USA as well, but it’s not as big of a decision on Team USA. At least I don’t believe it is. We’ll wait to see what the picks are. Those picks are coming out Wednesday this week. We’ll know more. But if you add a Colin Morawa to Team USA, a player like a Brian Harmon, if those types of players find their way onto the team, then the Keegan Bradley will have to make the same decision that Luke Donald’s going to make. And where I was going with that is Beth Page a big ballpark. It’s a bombers’s paradise. So, if you’re going to take on uh you know, a player that doesn’t have that fire in the bat, so to speak, do you need to rework your pairings and say, “Okay, I I need to put Brian Harmon with a shambo, fill in the blank.” Right? And on the European side, I’m wondering the same thing when you’re looking at these pairings and we’re talking about, well, this person kind of goes with this person that if there, you know, if there’s a couple players along that European side that maybe doesn’t, you know, uh, dominate strokes gained off the tea, for example, do you need to find them? Do you need to put them with a ROM? Do you need to put them with a Rory, the bombers that are going to be on that European side? It’s so interesting to see. I love this part of the RDER Cup. I love this dissecting it. You, Bob, and I are going to be talking about this now for five weeks, right? Until we get there. Oh, yeah. We’re so excited for the RDER Cup.
