Golf Fans Are ‘Heartbroken’ For Rickie Fowler Sunday Night

Golf fans are heartbroken for Ricky Fowler on Sunday evening. Fowler, once a top five player in the world, has been playing better as of late. Earlier this month, his strong finish at the FedEx St. Jude earned him a spot in the BMW Championship. That finish, a tie for fourth place, secured him a spot in most of the top tournaments for the 2026 golf season. The former Oklahoma State Cowboys star, known for wearing orange on Sundays, had a chance to secure another big tournament appearance this weekend. Unfortunately, he could not get it done. Fowler came into the weekend in the 48th position in the FedEx Cup standings. He needed a really strong finish at the BMW Championship to get into the top 30 and qualify for the PGA Tour Championship. The former top five golfer ended up finishing in the top 10, but he missed a birdie putt on the final hole, which eliminated him from contention at the Tour Championship. I love watching Ricky Fowler. He’s my favorite golfer to watch. He really upped his game here lately, and it’s been great fun to watch. Wishing him all the best for next year, one fan wrote. I surely wish he had gotten his act together earlier in the season. It was truly fun again to watch him play last week and this week. Here’s hoping he comes back strong next year. Obviously, he has changed up something that made a positive difference. Thanks for tracking him, one fan added. One good thing we can take away is that the game is definitely improving. One fan added, I am so sorry, Ricky. So much love, one fan added.
