  1. I'm in my 50's, when young and before jacking up the lofts, my 3 iron was my driver because I couldn't hit one to save me. So in my 20's my friends made fun of me for walking on a course without a driver in the bag. Today, a Ping G425 in 4 iron is 20.5 degrees. Ping Eye 2's in 3 iron were 20.7. Drivers are larger now, more forgiving. I use those more but still bump and run a long iron when it calls for it.

  2. Your 3 is actually far easier to hit than any wood if one practices with it. The twice a month golfer has no chance with a 3 is what he saying. And if a Pro Bro can't hit a 3 iron it's because PGA /LIV has basically become Driver Wedge Putter. Boring to watch. Boring to Listen to them as well

  3. Boo, buddy isn’t hitting off a root under low branches enough to understand why the worst golfers absolutely need a 3 iron

  4. Nope I have a 3 iron driver and I hit it 220 out of anything even better in some fluff sitting clean. It’s a cobra and it’s my fav club you feel nothing hitting it but smooth vibes.

  5. Ooops.
    Driver, 17deg hybrid…then 3-9 is my bag…with 47, 52, 56 and 60 wedges.
    Odd setup but 300+ driver, 17deg is 260 and 3i carries 220-225.

    Works for me. 😂

  6. I’m def an amateur and I prefer irons over woods or hybrids I hit 3 iron everytime I play and 2 iron don’t always hit it well I don’t always hit woods or hybrids well either for sure

  7. I started with a 4 as a kid and I can lift that ball like it's a 6. Got a 5 and started to hit it into the sky. The four was a heavy club for me way too big. I love the feeling of that contact thought.
