The PUTTER Inspired by Bryson DeChambeau

Should we all be putting like Bryson DeChambeau?

Well in this video we have been introduced to a New putter created by Golf Punk that resembles what Bryson is using in his bag.

Let’s take a closer at the new Arm Lock putter by Golf Punk.

  1. Bryson's putting style is much like the rest of his swing. He looks almost wooden with straight arms in all of his clubs. Maybe it has something to do with the use of his muscles because let's face it he is a unit. Ridiculous distances are the result. His putting is upright, the arm lock takes away flicking of his wrists and of course if you watch any Liv tour matches he is one of the best.

  2. Switched to a version of Bryson’s arm lock putter recently and it’s been amazing. Way more confidence and much better results. Can’t see myself changing again anytime soon!

  3. The putter is only part of Brysons unique style on green . Everyday he will use a ruler a shotscope to calculate exactly how far he needs to pull putter bk to go 30 ft . He then adjusts to suit for round . He also factors in slopes on each green to decide on draw bk length. If you listen to him he will work out exact disastance with slope and then say OK this is a 27 foot putt for eg.

  4. Eleven and its associated partners produce great products. Be great to see how you play with that putter out on the course Dan.

  5. Not sure that this will make it into DH’s bag …when I see Bryson (or any of the non-standard putter welders) I always get the impression that there is increased tension within the framework, but then again folks hole putts with them so there must be something in it!

  6. Personally I would never so no too trying any type of putting style. I have putted the standard style( If there is such a thing) for decades, Only the last 2 years have I changed to a modified Claw grip and then just recently to a full Claw grip. Have started sinking way more putts and distance consistency is much improved. If Bryson's style works better I would definitely give it a real go.

  7. I'm not going to watch this video. just about to take on the course tomorrow my LAB OZ. i don't need any other temptation

  8. I have mixed feelings about these sorts of things. The R&A always said their mission was "to maintain the skill of the game in the hands of the player and not in the hands of the equipment manufacturers". Is this anchoring? Yes it is and should be banned. However, allowing amateurs to use this is fine as long as they don't compete in elite competition. Professionals who play for money? Banned all day long as far as I am concerned. I am an old fuddy-duddy however 😂

  9. I armlock and my grip is about 20 degs closed to the face this allows you to lock you arms ( palms open) with the flat against the arm

  10. I'd love to try it but I don't hear anyone talking about the head or any specs like grooves, weighting, roll characteristics. Can you try it on the SAM or Quintec and show us? I'd also be interested on your thoughts on distance control on longer putts, 40 footers, which is usually about as close as my approaches get.

  11. I’ve got to say great video dan and I am really considering a putter like this but I do have mixed feelings about it,I’m concerned that it is cheating although it is legal lol but I also think it’s anchoring as it’s along the forearm so I’m a bit torn with the idea

  12. Very interesting just a thought could you crank your own putter to nearly upright and stand up straight with you eyes over the ball …just a thought 👍

  13. Come on Dan ….. don’t be shy. Let’s see this in play for a few months. Ideally I’d like to brothers face when you take his money or he paying for your lunch after giving him a good schooling 😂🇦🇺

  14. Hey Dan, the science makes sense but it looks very rigid and mechanical. You always seem a feel putter. How did that equate with this?

  15. I tried it the other day at PGATSS and couldn't figure out how to use arm lock properly, it felt very uncomfortable. I don't really understand how armlock isn't anchoring.

  16. I put together my own arm lock putters by converting used putters. I’m on version 3 currently. You have to extend the shaft and adjust the lie and loft, but it’s not that difficult. I couldn’t just dropping hundreds of dollars on a putter

  17. It feels like cheating Dan, bcz it is cheating! Far too much anchoring going on currently, even with the shorter broomsticks.
