  3. i can't tell if he's putting in scottie in the great player category or not. I lean more towards him saying he didn't have to rise to the occasion, he just had to play his game. his game is great, but he's not "a great". his competition is lacking

  7. Big admirer of Jack, and yes this was all true, but just because you can say something doesn’t necessarily mean you should say something. Tad disrespectful in my opinion.

  8. I'll echo some comments here. Very truthful and factual…however it doesn't mean you should always say what you think. I hope Jack doesn't turn into Gary Player as he ages. Keep the filter on and be just a little more respectful.

  9. I'm sure these guys all know who to look out for on the last 9 holes. Especially on the big tournaments.

  11. I don't think Scottie fears Xander either. Straka is gaining almost a full stroke per round on Xander this season.

  15. This is going to curse Scottie, oh no. I am not sure if all the LIV guys being around would make much of a difference. It just that Scottie is better than most and doesn't have that competition right now.

  16. You could feel his old competitive juices flowing there. Totally threw some players under the bus, but he's correct. You could see him gently reminding folks that there are cream of the crop players and the rest and he was – of course – in the cream of the crop group (the top of the top actually, but that part he didn't say).

  18. All these guys are good, to call out players by name is a little disrespectful, I think Jacks true feelings are more about himself and he’s actually relating himself to Scotty. The problem is Scotty isn’t playing against the best.

  23. Jack has never been diplomatic, bad use of words here. In my opinion when Tiger was in the lead on Sunday he would just throttle the competition. Scottie, on the other hand, keeps looking down the road and keeps an eye on the gas tank. He does exactly what he needs to win – no more no less. Tiger wanted to blow the doors off the competition as an intimidating factor.

  24. Anybody that makes it to the PGA tour and stays there is a great player in my opinion
    I played in college I consider myself a good player but not great. Tiger in his prime, Rory, Phil, Scottie are on a different level of great.

  28. I mean the reality is just getting on the PGA Tour and keeping your card is fierce enough. And to have the runner up to Scottie that is really green on tour is saying something. Love and respect Jack immensely, but he stepped in it with that one.

  29. Love the psychology behind Jack’s statements. I don’t think he’s truly trying to put them down. Seems like he’s using reverse psychology to motivate them to be better. Everyone claiming “disrespectful” go get your feelers checked you softies. Speaking truth is not disrespectful. Fckn humans becoming weak cuz someone spoke the truth😊

  32. Jack saying this is huge. Most of us have that feeling that we are watching greatness unfold and jack just confirmed it. Scottie is a generational athlete.
