Contested each May, the PGA Championship is the second major championship in golf’s annual rotation, and perennially features the strongest field in the men’s game based on the Official World Golf Rankings. Known for dramatic finishes and notable champions, the Wanamaker Trophy—which has been awarded to the winner since 1916—is inscribed with names such as Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player.

The 2025 PGA Championship is set to take place between 15-18 May at Quail Hollow Club. The reigning champion is Xander Schauffele.

  2. I'm a 16HCP that hits a PW 153 yards. I hit it far compared to most and my 8 iron is going 175 yards out of the middle. He is an absolute beast sending one 196.. the simps cry coz they can't hit a driver past 150…

  4. Imagine commentating golf for living and not knowing anything about what clubs Bryson uses… Its PW only by the name. The loft is that of 8i and shaft length of all his clubs is the same and is that of 7i. So he is hitting 7i(since shaft length is main thing that determines the speed of the club, more length more leverage) with a higher loft. I've seen Rory hit actual 8 iron 195 yards so Bryson isnt superhuman.

  6. It might say "pw" on it, but it was an 8 iron with a 7 iron shaft from 196 blowing a hurricane down wind. A very normal shot for a tour pro.

  11. You can see how strong the wind was. Obviously it helped him. These pros can hit a PW 150 yards anyway.

  17. Frank pitching wedge has a shaft in it equal to the length of a six iron but Bryson plays inch over so it’s equal to a four hour shift. It’s just a Spanish out of the hole because it’s got a lot of loft on the head big deal who cares I guess it sells tickets an interest, but helps you get out of the rough at U.S. Open, Dah !⛳️😉

  25. I mean, we all know bryson hits it far because of his speed, but can't commentstors stop talking about it. Honestly, I doubt he'd be much more than a club longer than the other long hitters if he was using regular clubs. I like Bryson as much as the next guy, but this subject is getting boring.

  27. Insane how people try and play down the fact that Bryson's clubs all have stronger lofts. Hes able to do this for distance but it doesn't help the short game. He has to play 3/4 and 1/2 shots all the time from 150 in. Y'all don't seem to understand that half the golfers on the PGA tour rely solely on their clubs loft to control distance. Bryson's all feel.

    or put it another way,
    he could not hit my 56w that far.maybe 180 apex
