Justin Rose Reflects On His Second Place Finish | The 2025 Masters

Justin Rose takes the podium to discuss his 2nd place finish as he went to a playoff against Rory McIlroy.

Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

  1. Couldn't we have more politicians like this gent? Unfortunately, anybody with any decency steers clear of certain occupations.

  2. Not golf fan, but appreciate how hard a sport it is. So happy Rory was able to complete the slam. Considering the talk was all on him before the tournament started. Lived up the pressure, and pulled it off. Being a Brit was so happy for our guys fighting for 1st & 2nd 😂 congrats Roar 👏🏻

  3. Class act. So respectful and introspective after a challenging runner up. I’m hoping the golf gods smile on him soon.

  4. Rosey has nothing to dwell on. Clutch shot after clutch shot under ultimate pressure. He will remember those blissful second 9 feelings the rest of his life. What a classic. Well done Augusta. I believe the game is on the rise and it’s thanks to those protecting it. 🫡

  5. I was happy for Rory but why couldn’t he just beat Patrick Reed or Brooks Koepka in the playoff? As happy as I was for Rory, I was sad for Rose.

  6. In any other circumstance I would have been rooting for Justin to win. Really hope he wins the Masters before the end of his career. First person to lose 2 Master's playoffs since Ben Hogan in 1954. His wife gave Rory a congratulatory hug at the finish (she was standing next to Rory's wife) What a special couple.

  7. Rose was 7 shots behind at the start of the final round, with 10 birdies was incredible. It would have been some Masters win if he had pulled it off. Very classy in defeat.
