The PGA TOUR heads to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida this week for the THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass. Defending champion and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler returns to THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass looking to extend his legacy and become the first golfer to three-peat at THE PLAYERS. World No. 2 Rory McIlroy is hoping to recreate some magic at in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. McIlroy, winner of this year’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, captured the THE PLAYERS in 2019, but has had a bit of a mixed bag at TPC Sawgrass since then. With over 75 yards added, THE PLAYERS will be decided over the 7,352 yards that THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass has to offer. Alongside last week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational winner Russell Henley, other notable players in the field include Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Åberg, Hideki Matsuyama, Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler with a total of 48 of the world’s top 50 playing in this year’s event.

  2. What a battle! Rory showed his championship mentality under pressure, and JJ played incredibly well. This was playoff golf at its finest—can’t wait for Augusta!

  4. Get in da hole 🎉 and you da man are beyond low life. They mean nothing more than showing disrespect for the game and the lowlifes shouting the phrases. Can someone out there who agrees with this boorish behavior please explain what affect they have on anything.

  5. I think these idiots whom keep shouting get in the hole have never played golf in all their lives and let's be honest it's starting to spoil this beautiful game

  7. Standing on the tee with Rory playing for those millions – I would have been lucky to hit the ball! The pressure must have been immense so well done JJ, and of course Rory was fabulous. Loved the 3 hole playoff the next day. Although an accident of the weather maybe it should become a permanent thing!

You had two players in the final round Rory, who is easily agitated by the crowd and things that are going on around him and he probably loses 3 to 4 shots per round because of it and then you had JJ spawn who look like he saw a ghost in the final round in the playoff And you can’t be scared to lead if you are scared to lead you’ll never win. I know he’s won before, but he looked at a place. He never looked comfortable.

  20. New Rule: If you yell before the ball is hit, you are ejected immediately, never to return to that championship. They're only doing it to hear themselves later while watching the highlights. Pathetic, and Classless. I might elbow a dude out of instinct.

  26. Right after JJ hit that ball in the water on the 17th, I paused the feed. And the look on JJ's face…a deer in the headlights! THAT'S what they meant all those years by that phrase!!
