Mission Hills – A Jack Nicklaus Design
I like Mission Hills despite it being a bit scruffy in places.
Could be just early season and is brilliant in high season.
We had a little rain.

Quality of the greens ? But the course looked open and fairly easy except for the island greens but I like those.
Do you think the wind might have affected your putting?
Just round that was underwhelming to your standards. Still a nice stroll along the ocean.
8:04 I bet that fish had teeth too
10:02 You can't buy a putt
11:31 I will never play in a down pour again
We need you back in the UK Simon, your a good golfer but would make a great politician 😂
Amazing backdrop to some holes but the tees looked very sandy. Maybe they had been levelled?
The staff are great I love the course nice and open not many trees bit of water trouble but great fun course to play
I will get back to thailand one day, but I'm gonna give vietnam a crack first!
Look a fun place to play nice & flat with great scenery, at least the rain cooled you down a little.. did not look that hot
You fancy coming to Mansfield for a round? .. I’m happy to come up your way let me know this summer 🙂
Looking forward to red mountain video beautiful course
I remember Mission Hills from the last time you played there! You played it first and the greens were ssllooww!!!! As they were this time! It's a nightmare!!! And it's a shame, as with quicker greens, it would be some golf course, especially with those views!!!!
I would say well played as, despite everything, you persevered and ended up +10. Not that bad considering alien weather, alien greens, alien pace of play, but a good caddy (she can't putt either!!!!).
I agree, it looks a good course, but, even in paradise, slow greens demand too much of amateur golfers, especially when we're used to medium paced surfaces.
Good video. Nice to see that respect for your caddy, and some wonderful views for us all to look at. Some course, yes, but just like St. Mellion, I'd love to ask Jack why????
Played the Faldo, Sorenstam and Singh courses back in 2008. I was blown away by the sheer scale of Mission hills GC.
Good video Simon. The greens look very poor but a good course layout
Hi Simon, Another great video, enjoyed it immensely. Thank you for your time and effort in filming and producing it👍🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻. The caddie looked very helpful which must have been nice. You hit some great shots buddy. The variable conditions and the heavy rain must have been both challenging and interesting to play in.
Did that big fish eat the seagull alive? Hope not!
Looking forward to your next video. It would be nice to see how you deal with our winter conditions on one of your local courses. I’m finding it extremely challenging. I’ve had a golf lesson and taking my new swing to the course tomorrow (Thursday 6th February). Fingers crossed that I now stop hooking it.👍🏻🏌🏻♂️⛳️
Nice content Si caddie was bang on
Looks really nice Simon!! I read youu wrote you are not a good wind player? I surprised think you would be use to playing in the wind being you are from the UK. I used to really like to play in the wind it made me think more about a shot. I can imagine that is frustrating playing the slow greens. It's tough to force yourself to hit it so hard!! 🏌♂⛳😀
Rain, why are we not surprised. looks like a nice location Simon and you seem to be playing well, no wonder you have so many fans there. Ron
Most holes look nice and open. If shot tracer is any indication (??) you seem to be striking the ball pretty well. Nice to see.
What an open views on this course. It seems quite flat but the cam might not show all. But damn it can pour down. 😅
