Vintage Club of the Week! Jack Nicklaus Muirfield Irons
Welcome to Tony’s Vintage Club of the Week!
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Tony Lovato for years, and let me tell you—his passion for vintage golf clubs is unmatched. With a private collection of over 14,000 clubs (yes, you read that right), Tony has spent decades preserving the history of golf through his amazing collection.
This series is my way of showcasing his incredible treasures while introducing you to the legend himself. Each week, we’ll feature a standout piece from Tony’s collection, dive into its history, and share what makes it truly special.
Stay tuned—you won’t want to miss the stories and gems Tony has to share!
I have a set of these in left handed that I use to practice with in the winter. I have to be on to hit 6 iron and up well.
They feel sooooo good at impact!
awesome video
These are grail items. Great to see you Tony!!
I have a 1/2 set of Muirfields (3,5,7,9,W) but what really interested me was when Tony mentioned Chi Chi Rodriguez irons at 0:35. Tony, if you're reading this I'd be keen to touch base with you.
In the last few months I've acquired 1 and 3/4 sets of Spalding Syncho-Dyned Chi Chi Rodriguez Personal Model irons, and some woods too (2w, 3w, 4w). I have posted images of the clubs on golf wrx, under a thread called "thrift store jackpot" (see page 126 of that thread). If I post the link, this comment will be taken down (it has already happened, so I have retyped this).
I have searched on the internet and can't find any images of, or information about, them – other than that I've posted. I'm hoping you might be familiar with that particular model. Thanks and kind regards, Mark (aka Evan H on golf wrx).
