  1. #AskLav Are the players playing slow on purpose cause they know the PGA tour wont do ANYTHING to them. That was crazy that Sepp Straka took 5 hours and 40 min to finish the final round of the American Express. If its takes 5 hours and 40 minutes there is wind issues or weather issues. At the tournament Rex reported from it was nice.

  2. I think Genesis being at Torrey Pines is hurting Farmers for sure. A lot of the big boys dont want to take a butt whopping at that course twice in 3 weeks. Scottie I think is trying to rush it back and probably Meredith had to put her foot down. The crazy thing was that he was making Ravoli when it happened. Still trying to figure out how that happened. Xanders injury I figured it was bad when he sat himself from TGl this week when New York welcomes Atlanta to that tournament. Like Rex and Lav said the schelude is slow in the begginning so its ok to take off plus last season was so long due to the Olympics and Ryder Cup. If both guys arent back by the Florida Swing you know their injuries are bad.

  3. Speed up play
    1 Allow range finders
    2 More referees available
    3 Shot penalties
4 Automatic disqualification for 3rd bad time over tournament

  4. Dubai brilliant! Birdies, double bogiyies, miss fairway or green then scrambling, hit fairway chance for birdie. -15 wins. Hovland's ridiculous Double Pump swing a hoot! Amex another bore.

Torrey Pines South make them suffer!

    Great pod as usual.

  5. Money. Pace of play sucks because of money. Who injected the money? LIV. Really changing the game 🙄 As far as TGL goes, look who won, the teams with guys who don't screw around and hit a shot like Ludvig. 🤷‍♂️

  6. How? PLAY FASTER! Never has the need for a shot clock been more evident. The PGA has rules in place, ENFORCE THEM. I watch Schauffele in the fairway, standing over his ball waiting for the green to clear for over 5 minutes. He was second in the fairway. After the green cleared, and his playing partner stood over his shot for over 2 minutes, Schauffele then took an additional 2 minutes to hit the ball?!?!?!? No! at that time you have 30 seconds to HIT THE BALL. I cannot watch golf on TV anymore. I watch highlights, or tape delayed where I can skip through not only the commercials but the incessant caddy discussion/club selection/shot setup routines that should have been finished by the time their turn to hit came up.

    3 strikes, you’re out:

    1) first out of position – warning
    2) second – 1 stroke penalty
    3) DQ … go home

  7. You can help the broadcast all you want. If coverage is on golf channel and golf channel doesn't provide streaming access, then much fewer eyes are even capable of watching the broadcast.

Does a falling tree make a sound if no one is there to hear it?

Put golf channel coverage back on peacock until you figure out this SpinCo stuff and then make sure SpinCo enables streaming for tournament coverage.

  8. Rex is such a PGA shill it's unbearable. Rex, Just come out and say "Hey, I can't be honest about anything PGA golf because that's how I get paid!"
The PGA Tour is unwatchable unless your a super hardcore fan. The players are boring. It takes an hour for one of these guys to putt.
TGL is a total Joke but will be propped up by the WOKE media because they hate LIV and the Saudis because of their beliefs

  9. The walk and talk seems to be about what you get. As a person who plays golf, I love it when we get to get into the minds of the caddie and player as they are discussing shots and what they are trying to accomplish. That is gold. It doesn’t take any more time away from them. They are doing it in the flow of the competition. They don’t have to get into their heads about the interview question, it is pure golf. Helps me understand the game from their perspective. We then get to see the results to see if they were able to execute what they were wanting to do.

  10. I love watching golf, always have, and I have been to many golf tournaments. I find YouTube golf more exciting and personable to watch. There are reasons why more people watch golf on YouTube then on television. The PGA I feel needs to implement some of the characteristics of Youtuber golf which are so appealing. Have cameras out there walking with the golfers. Let the golfers interact with the cameras and talk not to announcers, but to the people watching. The PNC father and son match, you get to see the human side of these players, not just their mechanical perfection side you see on TV during a tournament. Bring back the Skins Game that Jack and Arnold and others played. The Bryan Bros Skins Game on YouTube got over million views in just over one day. This is the kind of thing everyone wants to see. GET WITH THE TIMES! Adapt to the changes in the world and the way people want to watch. This is when viewers will start to come back.

  11. Guys. There is such a thing as a wifi hotspot. It can be had for less than $50/mo. I'm sure the GC can afford that so that expectations for the fans can be met by airing the podcast. 😢

  12. I honestly cannot believe how we do not realize the main problem is how many actual golf shots are shown during coverage.

All the ideas seem to include showing even less shots and instead even more talking. Like walk and talks.

No matter how slow players are, the coverage with 150 players should never ever ever need to be slow.

Pga west looks about the same but with fresh rock hard greens (temporary). They should go to Sherwood (if possible). I like Torrey pines north. Maybe 3 on the north and one on the south.

  13. #-Ask-Lav:
With the price index trajectory we've seen over the last couple yrs, when will a dozen🥚eggs eventually cost us more than a dozen golf balls?
Rex, how much did you pay for an omelette when you were in CA?💰
