Launch of Tomorrow Golf League (TGL): A Global Debut for Golf Innovation

The Tomorrow Golf League (TGL), co-founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy through TMRW Sports, is set to debut on January 7, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This new, tech-driven team golf league brings together six teams of PGA Tour players, competing in a fast-paced, primetime format. Hosted at the state-of-the-art SoFi Center on the campus of Palm Beach State College, TGL aims to redefine the golf experience by combining innovative technology with high-stakes competition, creating a dynamic spectacle for both live audiences and global viewers.

TGL has secured extensive international reach, broadcasting in 113 countries and territories across six continents. Major partnerships include Shinai Sports in China, Bild in Germany, Claro in Latin America, SuperSport in South Africa, and BeIN Sport in Southeast Asia. In the U.S., ESPN serves as the league’s broadcast partner, ensuring widespread accessibility. This global distribution reflects the league’s mission to expand golf’s reach, catering to both traditional fans and new audiences who prefer a faster, more engaging format.

The league’s format is designed to modernize golf and appeal to younger demographics. Matches will feature a mix of virtual gameplay, simulators, and live-action putting in a two-hour primetime window. TGL’s six teams—such as the Boston Common Golf and Jupiter Links Golf Club—are poised to introduce a new level of team dynamics to professional golf. The competition also provides opportunities for global brands and sponsors, leveraging its innovative presentation to connect with diverse markets.

As CEO Mike McCarley noted, “TGL being available in 113 countries and territories proves that golf is truly a global game.” This extensive reach, paired with cutting-edge technology and star-studded rosters, positions TGL as a potential game-changer for the sport.
